just saw this on SportsByBrooks:

http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2011/08/bears_set_to_release_rb_cheste.html

The Bears have informed running back Chester Taylor that he will be released, according to a league source.  Taylor, surely, isn't shattered up about it.

"I don't wonder or doubt," Taylor said Saturday night in Nashville. "I'm just going to do what I do: practice and work hard. And whatever they do, they're going to do. I can't control it."

Taylor was disappointed that he dressed for Saturday's game against the Tennessee Titans.

"I practiced all week, thinking I'm going to play today. So, they could have gave me the heads up sooner," he said.

any thoughts that the Phins might pick him up?  I believe he has more upside than LJ

^^Speaking of LJ, I was kinda shocked that we didn't see him run the ball on 1st and goal from the 2. Isn't that why he was brought in? I know he hasn't had much practice or anything but I figured that was the perfect time to see if he still had anything.

I would have zero problems with Chester Taylor being here.

I wouldn't either, but not at the expense of giving up on 2nd round pick three weeks into the pre-season.

No one's giving up on Thomas.  I just want a veteran back here if/when Bush gets injured.

LJ will be gone by the end of this week. We will keep Bush, Thomas, Hillard, Clay, and maybe Polite. That's it!

I would be shocked if we carry a 4th RB. Especially one that doesn't play special teams. Chester and LJ don't play special teams
