Title: Karma Post by: Brian Fein on March 07, 2008, 05:56:10 pm Fau, I'm looking at you on this one...
Can someone please explain the karma thing we all have on out avatars now? <----- I can't wait to see Tommy give all of my posts negative karma because he wants to catch up with my post count. ::) Title: Re: Karma Post by: StL FinFan on March 07, 2008, 05:56:48 pm I can't wait to see how much negative Karma Tommy gets. ;D
Title: Re: Karma Post by: Fau Teixeira on March 07, 2008, 06:02:35 pm Not sure if it'll stay actually. It's always been a part of the board software, but we've kept it disabled. It's pretty self explanatory though, you approve or disapprove of posts. You can only vote once every hour for the same person.
Title: Re: Karma Post by: Fau Teixeira on March 07, 2008, 06:04:12 pm and admins can't cheat at all
<-------------- *cough* Title: Re: Karma Post by: StL FinFan on March 07, 2008, 06:04:50 pm Hmm...do I smite an Admin? ;D

Title: Re: Karma Post by: run_to_win on March 07, 2008, 10:38:28 pm I have been busy and just lurking... Being too busy to participate in the TDMMC message boards is a smitable offense! The karma feature can be fun. Are we going to take it seriously or just have fun with it (like smiting someone for being too busy to partipate)? Title: Re: Karma Post by: StL FinFan on March 07, 2008, 11:45:13 pm Yeah, he deserves a smite for that. As well as anyone who posts pictures of scantily clad women. ;D (running while the guys all smite me)
Title: Re: Karma Post by: stinkfish on March 07, 2008, 11:48:12 pm Or we could smite people who reach a max. number of posts in one day :D
Title: Re: Karma Post by: StL FinFan on March 07, 2008, 11:49:12 pm Funny you mention that. I haven't seen Tommy today. :D
Title: Re: Karma Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on March 08, 2008, 09:27:01 am Funny you mention that. I haven't seen Tommy today. :D Here I am now and I don't see any karma meter. A special thanks to whoever got rid of it. ;D Title: Re: Karma Post by: TonyB0D on March 08, 2008, 01:35:24 pm haha tommy is happy the karma is gone because he knows he'd set the record for negatives
Title: Re: Karma Post by: stinkfish on March 08, 2008, 01:46:59 pm Bring the karma back, if possible. I thought it was a really cool feature.
Title: Re: Karma Post by: Sunstroke on March 08, 2008, 01:52:37 pm haha tommy is happy the karma is gone because he knows he'd set the record for negatives That's funny... When I saw that karma feature the first time, I told myself I will NOT start bad-karma'ing folks up here. I know a few of my regular combatabts would probably bad karma me en masse, so wanted to take the high road. Title: Re: Karma Post by: StL FinFan on March 08, 2008, 02:27:22 pm The karma thing was fun. :(
Title: Re: Karma Post by: bsfins on March 08, 2008, 02:44:40 pm I think it would have been OK to keep the Applause part of it...(It might be away to Stop Good point" I totally agree posts....but I think the "Smite Button " would have been abused IMO...
Title: Re: Karma Post by: StL FinFan on March 08, 2008, 02:46:11 pm I think it was already abused! :D
Title: Re: Karma Post by: AprFools_Phins on March 08, 2008, 03:41:40 pm Jeez what the heck happened here lol- I'm gone for a few days and I miss everything!
Title: Re: Karma Post by: fyo on March 08, 2008, 03:43:25 pm The "smite" feature was fun.... if people started taking it seriously, well, probably not so much fun then.
Title: Re: Karma Post by: Dave Gray on March 09, 2008, 05:14:13 am I would like a Karma feature for individual posts, but I didn't like it for the user. I think it didn't encourage people to contribute, and would cause bad blood and groupthink.
