  A great show, as always.  A couple things I wanted to bring up two items from the segment on Special Teams.

- Brandon Fields isn't THAT bad of a punter.  While I agree with B, on that he does outkick his punt coverage unit at times.  I would also like to add that the punt coverage unit also let him down a lot of times last season.  There were times where Brandon could've had a punt inside the 20 yard line, but because the punt coverage was so poor, it away a lot of punts inside the 20 from him.  With a better coverage unit, his net average and inside the 20 numbers will look a lot better.

- No love for LS John Denney?   ;)  Seriously though, Denney has been pretty reliable since he came in as an undrafted free agent in 2005.

Get your Dolphins Draft questions ready!!

A little off topic - but if anyone is interested in blocking aside a good chunk of time for fantasy baseball Q&A leading up to everyone's drafts, I am more than willing to hop in and take calls / questions.

That's up to the powers that be, and if we do it we should do it soon.  Let me know.

I'd love to talk more about fantasy baseball...and where Maine can advise masterfully on player talents and on-field stuff, I can definitely handle the fantasy strategy side of things (average draft position, positional tiers, "strats for slots," etc...).

We'd probably want to get it in at the back-end of this week's show, because the following show is only 3 days before start of the season, and most folks' will have drafted by that point. I'd think a 20-30 minute segment, yapping and taking callers, should do the trick...you agree? And more importantly...can you make it for this Saturday night?

^^That's exactly what I was thinking.  I was thinking along the lines of "who should I be looking at for SB's this season that won't kill my batting average" or "what would my top five choices by at SP that will max my k to bb ratio without destroying my ERA."

Who to draft and when -- that all depends on how you want to build your team.

But I can certainly help with dark horse prospects, picks that people will be taking high and that I think should be strayed away from, etc.

I like that, and it definitely brings up the possibility for some good spirited debates on individual players.

Nah...Maine knows that I write my own projections...and, despite his immense baseball knowledge, I'm just as likely to draft someone Maine doesn't like...if I happen to like that player. ;D

I'm also pleased to announce that Matt McGuire has agreed to be a regular part of the show as our NFL Draft consultant. While Matt won't be involved with every show, he'll be a big part of most of them leading up to the draft and through training camps. I'm pumped to have Matt involved in this, as his knowledge of individual prospects is rock solid, and his ability to talk football...even more solid.

That show was a rollercoaster... We were running a little slow at some points, and Lil_B and I were trying to fill air with "anything," but after we got a few callers involved, it was pretty wild. We had 4 different show hosts on the air at one time toward the end of the show tonight, and I know I've never seen that before. ;D

One time, I called in and me, Lil B, and Dave went back and forth like panelists for the whole time.  That was a lot of fun

On that note, Maine mentioned the possibility of doing his baseball PT as part of the show during baseball season, and I think it's a damned fine idea. At the very least, it gives me a platform to insert snide little comments into the middle of things.

I keep forgetting you guys are on eastern time.  I logged in at 6 something "my time" but then remembered it was 9 your time.  Anyways it was wierd because its the first time I had logged on and I guess it just re-runs the show from the beginning and thought it was on live.  Anyways I registered, hopefully I'll remember to get on early.

* Phins draft (no, really?)... and what the freudian slip means. Clearing draft picture, and what player combinations could be there (if the clear picture isn't a mirage).

* NBA Playoffs...and why some people could care less, and others will kill to watch. We'll do a short breakdown on each matchup (some much shorter than others).

* New show on Fins Radio... and what affect it will have on the subprime crisis.

  Great show once again, as always.  Couple of things I wanted to bring up from the show.

- Stroke, this latest "thin branch" you went out on I agree with.  There's a lot of good OT/OG depth in the second round and beyond.  Two tackles that I really like are: OT Anthony Collins, University of Kansas and OT Duane Brown, Virginia Tech.

- Cory Lekkerkerker is no longer on the roster.

-  As far as depth at C, Drew Mormino could play C if Satele (god forbid) ever went down.  Mormino will probably be in the mix for the starting LG spot as well.

- As far as the Jason Taylor trade goes, I think the Dolphins have a little more leverage than you think.  What I've read on the Jared Allen talks, is that Kansas City is looking for a 1st and a 2nd round pick.  Julius Peppers, I have no idea what the asking price on him is, but it's got to be fairly lofty.  The way I look at it is, if teams don't want to fork over the asking prices for Allen or Peppers they could get Jason Taylor at a lower price.

When did this happen?

* Collins was the one OT I was trying to think of whose name I couldn't come up with when I mentioned Otah possibly slipping to round 2. I'd be completely happy with Collins as one of Miami's OT acquisitions.

* Thanks for the kerkerkerker info...I hadn't read anything about the guy since the season ended.

* I agree regarding JT, and mentioned the "price difference" between Allen and Taylor as something that I thought would make it an easier trade for Miami. I read first and third, but if you've heard legit reports that they're asking for a 1st and a 2nd, then that's even better. Again, if we could get a 2nd rounder for Jason, I'd be ecstatic.

The NFL Draft is a lot like Christmas for me, except that I almost always like the presents I'm getting (If Cameron had kept the receipt on Ginn, a refund might be forthcoming).

I felt wierd calling in and to be honest I was a little nervous.  It was cool though, you guys do a good job.
