The Dolphins Make Me Cry.com - Forums

My boss, who happens to be a die-hard Tennessee Titans fan, told me that he heard a rumor that the Dolphins are interested in Pac Man Jones if and when he gets reinstated.  The Cowboys are interested in his services too. 

What do you guys think?  Can anyone find anything that corresponds with what my boss told me?  Do you want him on our team?  If so, what do you think would be a good price for him?

I dont think there is anyway in hell that Parcels and Company are going to take a chance on this guy.  The guy has never really impressed me that much.

Remember the remark Parcells made about "character players" and "no thugs"? Something tells me Pac-Man is not high on Parcells' list due to those things....

Great talent, but a sociopath. I can't see any way the dolphins add this guy, given his evil ways.

Just looking at my avatar should tell you what I think of Pac-Man the player. Pac-Man the citizen doesn't belong in Miami though.

Glad to see so many of you are also not on board for bringing in Pac Man.  I'm all for having tough guys on the team who smash someone in the mouth on the field if they have to.  But I have no interest in bringing in someone like Pac Man and turning this team into Scumbags R Us. 

And Miami's got WAY better strip clubs than Nashville will ever have. 


I would consider bringing him in if, and only if, he can stay out of trouble with the law.  Matter of fact, I would have him restructure his contract to say that if he gets in trouble with the law again, his contract is voided, and the team can attempt to recoup his signing bonus (sorta like when Ricky Williams quit back in 2004). 

I don't think I want to bring in a guy who throws money at strippers and then demands it back.

  Not a chance in hell that this team takes a chance on Pacman Jones.  If you thought Pacman was bad before, let him loose on South Beach and watch the chaos ensue.  Pacman is a lost cause, that just doesn't get it.

i like  Adam Jones, I wont mind having him on this team if  he gets his act together.    :P

Keep in mind he's only been questioned by the police once since he got suspended.... and turns out the allegations against him were false.  Maybe he's wising up.

Pacman Jones IS NOT on the Dolphins radar

Pacman Jones, the suspended strip club enthusiast, is apparently on the radar of several teams interested in trading for him.

Want to hear something really funny? According to the Tennesseean newspaper in Nashville, the Dolphins are among the teams interested.

With all due respect to the fine work that newspaper does, the Dolphins ARE NOT interested in Jones for a myriad reasons.

First, Jones is suspended and there is no certainty his lawyer will be able to convince the NFL to allow Jones back on the field for 2008 after he missed all of 2007 when six arrests and various legal issues caused commissioner Roger Goodell to take punitive action against him.

Secondly, Bill Parcells, who is running the Dolphins, has stated he doesn't want "thugs or hoodlums," on his team. He said this at his introductory press conference:

"I’m interested in good character people. I don’t want thugs and hoodlums on the team. I really don’t. I don’t want bad character guys. I don’t want problem children. I’m more willing to let someone else try to address those things with other people. I want to get a good base of good character people that are dependable, reliable employees and come to work with the idea of trying to win football games for the Miami Dolphins.”

I know for a fact that Parcells told Miami players the exact same thing in private during a team meeting. If the Dolphins add Jones, who at the time of his suspension was the personification of, shall we say, a soul run afoul of laws, Parcells will not only lose face publicly (which is important) but also within the Dolphins locker room (which is more important).

Finally, how much sense would it make for the Dolphins to show no interest in DeAngelo Hall, who is not a character problem, but make a play for Jones, who isn't as good, has an uncertain future, and does raise red flags with his character?

As a Dolphins person told me, "Don't believe everything you read."

living near nashville i got to see this clown play every week.good return guy,piss poor cover guy.he's too small and i've seen average receivers snatch the ball away from him.

  No way Miami should even consider Pac-Man Jones to join this team.  He is a thug and also very overrated as a CB.  Glad to see the article that says Miami is not interested in Pac-Man Jones services.

He just had a stripper pole installed in his living room...I don't think he's conquered those personal demons quite yet. ;)
