Title: Allergy Season Post by: Dave Gray on April 21, 2008, 06:37:36 pm Do any of you have allergies? If so, to what?
I have the traditional hay-fever type deal. Pollen, dust, dander, etc. I had it worse when I was younger, and it was kinda off and on. It went away for a few years, but it's back with a vengeance. The last 2 months or so have been torture. I am pretty miserable, and things that I normally enjoy are becoming less so. Falling asleep is starting to be a pain in the ass sometimes, and food doesn't have as much flavor. It's still off and on, but more recently, it's been on. I don't want to take daily medication for it, unless I have to. I think that stuff probably takes a toll on your organs, so I like to avoid it when I can just tough it out. I did take 2 benadryl a little while ago, but all that doezzzzz zzzzz zz zzzzz. Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: Buddhagirl on April 21, 2008, 08:50:52 pm My ex had allergies. I always assumed he was just a pussy. ;)
I don't have the type of allergies you're talking about. However, I'm allergic to everything else. I breakout in hives and stuff. I have a regular dermatologist on the payroll. Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: Sunstroke on April 21, 2008, 10:14:30 pm I am extremely allergic to bees/wasps...but that's about it. Most of my family has a lot of airborne allergy issues like ragweed, pollen, etc..., but I didn't get any of those. This gives further weight to my brother's childhood mindfuck about my being adopted from a poor czechoslovakian family. Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: Phishfan on April 21, 2008, 10:30:46 pm I have a slight issue with the Oak tree pollen. That time has passed us here though so I am doing fine right now.

Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: run_to_win on April 22, 2008, 04:25:04 am Buddhagirl, your potty mouth is giving me impure thoughts again! :(
(http://209.85.62.23/55/133/emo/drool.gif) What was the topic again? Oh, allergies... I'm very allergic to everything (trees, dust, mold, animals) ... 'cept TDMMC babes. :P Allergies got me out of hauling hay growing up. During harvest I had to have the truck windows rolled up while around the combines ... talk about sweltering! When twin girls with horses moved into the neighborhood I somehow managed to tolerate a lot of horseback riding .... mind over matter I guess. Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: Thundergod on April 22, 2008, 08:07:22 am Allergic to work... :P
Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on April 22, 2008, 08:17:10 am I'm allergic to Nisoril.... it's a medicine used to treat skin discolorations, but my body reacts to it in a weird way. I don't break out right away. Rather, I'll break out in hives about a week after I stop taking it.
Title: Re: Allergy Season Post by: Brians Stalker on April 22, 2008, 10:07:36 am I am just the opposite as Dave and Lil B. I wasn't allergic to anything when I was younger. Now I spend a good month or so in the spring and again in the fall sneezing, itching, eyes watering and generally being pissed off. I didn't know that you could just acquire allergies whenever your body got around to it. I don't have any food or medication allergies though.
