Dave mentioned in a thread the other day,That WoW has killed P.C. gaming...Doesn't this hurt the Video card companies?

Yes I understand Consoles are basically Big video cards....but they don't come out but every few years...

I mean it's the gamers that mainly scream for bigger better,faster cards...If there aren't a bunch of Great new games coming out,what's going to drive the Video card market?

Yeah I understand People who edit video,and stuff like that can use the higher end cards...

I just thought New games = Need for better video cards= Better technology =Consumers wanting better video cards to play the better games.....

Well dude, I'd have to disagree with Dave (or the report he read). I've been a PC gamer for more than 10 years and I've read these reports over and over. Consoles will forever be the money maker, there's no doubt, but PC games going the way of the Dreamcast, I'm still waiting.  Besides, you said it yourself; bigger, better, faster cards are constantly produced for newer and newer games/gamers. Are they still? Yup. Sure the games aren't as prolific and big name as those of the console, but the games are there, original and ported. It's always been like that.

WoW has an enormous fan base (still wondering why), but I'll superglue my nostrils together if one game destroys an entire platform.

Well I'm with ya...I prefer P.C. games...I don't play Wow,and don't see myself starting either....

Me either, which is strange, since WoW is a Blizzard game, and I love all things by that company (especially Starcraft and Diablo II). Hell, I'd give the Blizzard CEO a happy ending reacharound for an etheral BotD Collossus Blade with max stats. My barbarian, BigSmellyFukker, has been trying to make one of those for a couple of years now. ;D
