Title: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: Dave Gray on April 28, 2008, 12:53:02 pm At first, I added - and + on there, but the list was too long. So, you may have to explain a bit.
Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: StL FinFan on April 28, 2008, 01:01:24 pm I said C+ but we really don't know until we see how these players develop. Overall, I was satisfied, but I wish they would have adressed some other issues.
Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: DolFan619 on April 28, 2008, 01:12:19 pm I give it a solid B. Drafted three offensive lineman, to help shore up the offensive line. Drafted Phillip Merling, and Kendall Langford to help fix this weak run defense, and to provide a more effective pass rush. Dotson is a project at NT, much like Soliai was last year. Parmele will offset the loss of Booker, and Hilliard will probably be a special teams guy. Chad Henne is a battle tested starter from a bigtime program. Can Henne start as a rookie in the NFL? He started as a true freshman at Michigan, time will tell.

Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: DZA on April 28, 2008, 01:40:50 pm B
Rebuilding the O & D lines first, Getting a drop-back quarterback in Henne . Jake Long steps into the left tackle spot while Merling and Langford give the team a much-needed talent on the d- line. Would have been nice to get Flacco. Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: Dphins4me on April 28, 2008, 02:13:53 pm Would have been nice to get Flacco. Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: Sunstroke on April 28, 2008, 02:18:04 pm I'd vote for 'incomplete" if that were an option...but think it will grade out over time to be a solid B+. Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: Sunstroke on April 28, 2008, 02:46:05 pm Filed under "these numbers don't seem to match up"... It shows that 16 total people have voted, with 4 votes for B and 2 votes for C. Hmmmm... Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: MaineDolFan on April 28, 2008, 03:50:24 pm This is like taking a test in class and handing in your paper with 25 of the 50 questions completed.
As this same question in a couple years. Title: Re: Grade the Dolphins Draft Post by: KC on April 28, 2008, 09:12:59 pm I gave it a B and I'm pretty confident that the players will bear this out. I would have liked to see a LB (Connor) and at least one DB project and I still wonder about trading up for Murphy but overall it's actually a pretty decent haul. I can certainly understand the focus on lineman though but one rather than 2 special teams type RB's would be enough.
