Number 66 was Larry Little's number. I can only hope Donald Thomas will be a third as good as Larry was, and I'll be happy.

Best #79 was Jon Giesler, a fine player at OT, though my hopes for Jake Long are pitched higher.

Best #61 was Roy Foster, and I'd be thrilled if Dale Murphy's kid has as solid a career as the big guard from USC.

Best #26 was Lamar Smith, a good bruiser of a RB for Hilliard to emulate.

There were no good #97's; John Bosa cursed the number.

The best #70 was Brian Sochia, an adequate nose tackle; hopefully Langford can bring more glory to the number.

The only really good #31 was Brock Marion, though Norm Bulaich had some decent moments in the aqua and orange as a RB.

Kicker Fuad Reveiz was probably the best #7, while QBs Guy Benjamin, Craig Erickson and AJ Feeley are poor role models for Chad Henning.

The best number 71 was Todd Wade, at best a slightly above average player.

Howard Twilley and OJ McDuffie brought honor to #81, while Bryan Cox was an insane madman at #51.
