Title: Does anyone use a an HD converter box?
Post by: bsfins on May 05, 2008, 09:06:29 pm
I was wondering about the boxes that take your regular definition T.V. ,to receive HD over the air signal.....I know next February or March All T.V. stations have to be digital, and aren't supposed to broadcast their analog signal...I'm fairly set,the Big Screen I bought in 2006,has a Built in High def tuner...

My bedroom t.v. (which I rarely use) isn't not HD ready,capable...The Government was giving out like $40 vouchers for a converter box.I don't want money from the gov,but I've looked into buying one for the bedroom T.V. I've found them for around $50 -$75...But the reviews have been pretty bad....I don't always trust Best buy, circuit city reviews...I was wondering if someone could give me a heads up....

So anyone use a converter box?

If you have cable, you can get a converter box from them and everything is done for you.  I think it's only really low-level TV that will need it.  ...like those using rabbit ears and stuff.
