Is it me or is there way more bitching, whinning, and personal attacks than ever before on this site?   Is it because it's an election year, stress over prices in general, the job market, or just because people are more dickish than ever?  Maybe it's just me!

I tend to agree..... although you can add an aching for football to start to all that as well. 

Sad to say, the morale and general attitude on this site has seen better days.

Who gives a shit?!  People need to relax more but not the same way most of you probably think.

I hate to call someone out but I'll use this with example.  A pretty heated debate gets a bit back and forth (for like 4 posts...nothing really) then gets wished to get locked by someone who hadn't even posted in the damn thing at all.  Seriously?  Why even read the shit if you never even posted in it and on top of it all, CONTINUE reading the squabbling only to make your presence felt and ask for it to be locked?  Are some of us really that bored?

Its a message board fellas.  Thats what its for...bitching, whining and sure even the occasional happy moment. 

As far as the topics are concerened, I think its what makes the site better.  As much as I love the Dolphins I could care less to be coming on a website daily to check on them.  If it were a "What nicknames do you call your hunny" type of forum I would have never even registered.  I'll speak for the majority (ahem...with your permission Stroke) that most of you would have thought the same.

BINGO. Lately there have been some somewhat touchy issues and we do have more than a few people who are not afraid to express their unlitigated opinions.

Controversial subject matter is nothing new to these boards.

We're gone to hell and back with most issues regarding religion and politics, so this most recent stuff is rolling right off my back.  Although, I'm not too vested in anything going on at the moment.

The off-season gets tough each year, because the OT board is the heart and there isn't much of an escape on the Dolphins board.  It'll come back around.

And also, if you guys don't like the way the conversations are heading, change them -- start topics about stuff you want to talk about.

I'm sure this is directed at me. Whatevs. I'm not going to sit back and watch someone fish around for racial stuff and not call them out on it. I'll do it again and again and again.

For the most part, I stay out of a lot of the political discussions. They're pointless. But, when I see someone say that he doesn't care if it makes him racist blah, blah, blah and then say some things that are blatantly racist I'm calling him out. Period. Perhaps this is my calling in life.

A racist cop scares the hell outta me and should scare the hell outta you guys.

It's not the topics as we have been discussing the same things for years now.  No new revelations there and its not a shot a Buddhagirl. I just don't feel that the exchanges are pleasant anymore.  It seems to me that a new more aggressive attittude has become the norm.  The "I don't care WTF you think" opinion is guaranteed to come out whether it is provoked or not.  That used to not be the case. 

Wow I must have missed something...

If you remember, we were all bickering like little bitches last offseason, too.  People were quitting the boards, everyone hated everyone else.  It happens during the summer...

I don't think this offseason is as bad as it was last offseason, but we got thru it.  I haven't seen anything on the forums lately that doesn't seem like "just good discussion" unless I've just missed it.  Maybe...

But, if everyone just calms down, it is a message board after all, and take it for what it is.  People tend to get emotionally invested in these conversations and, if people didn't have differing opinions, everyone would have thousands of posts saying "I Agree" or "Word."
