One thing you can say for George Carlin...he was his own man, and his comedy was as unique as anyone out there. NYPD Blue was the first one to do it, they said "shit", "piss" and "asshole" all in one epsiode.

Shit is almost nothing. Fuck, Motherfucker, and cocksucker are pretty bad. Cunt is still the worst, unless it's said by a Brit, in which case it's kinda funny. There is a time and place to curse and time and place not to (although these are just words in my opinion I know others may not care for it). Cunt is only used at my most angry moments and is generally used in a hurtful way. Cocksucker is my current favorite word and I use it alot when I miss easy pool shots. On a sidenote the word appears regularly on a Canadian TV program called the Trailer Park Boys.
