OK TDMMCers.  It's that time of the year again!!!!  The TDMMC Survival League is now open for business.  To enter just go to the following site:

The rules are simple.  Pick your "lock of the week" each week and hope your team wins.  No point spreads or anything.  Sounds easy doesn't it?   Well, in Survival Football, nothing is easy.  To make things a little more difficult, you can only pick each team once during the course of the season.  Picking a team that loses or failure to make a pick by the posted deadline will result in you being eliminated from the contest. 

Looking forward to a great season, and remember, it's all about SURVIVAL!!!!!!!!

He took San Diego over Carolina.  Dave has always had a tradition of being one of the first to drop out. 

So far, everyone else has picked a winner with the exception of Denver and Dolphins4life.  Denver's got his game going right now.  Dolphins4life we'll find out about tomorrow night.

Right now it's not looking good for D_B.  Chicago just hung a safety on Indy and has been shutting down the Colts high octane attack. 

I'm not scared. I can't them choking that game at home when it's all said and done. Manning is just using the first half as his pre-season.

A bunch of us picked New England.... and sweated it out once Brady went down.

I picked NE, and didn't worry about it at all.  KC will get the first draft pick next April, or possibly second to the Rams.

Glad we got NE out of the way. It would really suck having to sweat the rest of the season, wondering if this was going to be the one NE lost. We got lucky there.

OK.  After week 1, Dave and D_B are out of the contest.  Good luck in week 2 everyone.

And on a sidenote about the Raiders...who called out Jamarcus Russell as a future bust at the '07 draft when most were going all gaga over his arm strength? Yep, that was me. He's Daunte Culpepper with 10 more horsepower up his sleeve, but the same empty tank between the ears.

Sunstroke, so you're saying that Daunte Culpepper, a 9-year veteran quarterback with a 90 career passer rating, 64% completion ratio and 2500 yards rushing, is a bust?

If Russell is Daunte with 10 extra horsepower, that seems like a mighty fine #1 pick to me. (unlike, say, "Ron Mexico").

I would take Mike Vick over Daunte.  Daunte did a great job when he had the best receiver in football on his team.

Man, the Giants were a popular pick this week. Yahoo-wide I think it said 30-some percent. In our league, 10 of 13 (77%) picked the Giants.

MonkeyBalls (stinkfish?) and BradyBunch (Hoodie? Pats2006?) crash out with the Seahawks.

Funk Soul Chicken is still up in the air with the Steelers tonight.

Yep.  Looks like we lost Stinkfish and Pats this week.  Funk Soul Chicken (whoever that is), is still in the air.  Everyone else survived by picking the two Super Bowl teams.

Tough calls this week, IMO.  There isn't a single game I would deem as a "lock of the week".  I can see us losing a lot of people. 

I think my choice is a lock.

Damn, there are alot of games this week that should be pretty damn good to watch.

Due to their anti-homerism, Jim Gray and Sunstroke will now be forced to take that stroll down Wrong Pick Lane.  Dolphin UK will be joining them in the Land of the Eliminated for failing to make a pick on time.  Good luck in week 4 everyone.

When I was making my pick, I noticed something like 40% (think 41) had picked Denver. I almost did as well, but I had promised not to take the popular on this time ;)

(That doesn't mean I won't flame out as well... I picked the Chargers, like Frimp and Jackass, and they're behind against Oakland)

The Chiefs isn't the worst team in the league. The Rams are. And they're up against the undefeated Bills... And the Raiders are up 5-0 (yes, safety) on the Chargers. Weird.

This week, 4 people picked Denver, 3 picked San Diego, 1 picked Jacksonville.  If San Diego somehow loses, we would go from 8 people to 1.

And now, its down to 4!

If Cincinatti pulls off the upset tonight, fyo will be our champ.  However, gut feeling tells me that it aint gonna happen. 

I'm surprised everyone else took Dallas. I know it was the most popular pick on Yahoo, but it just seemed like a shame to use them in a week where two of the worst teams in the league played decent, but not great, teams. Carolina over Kansas City and Chicago over Detroit.

I'm sure there will be an easy pick each week.

Cincy down by a single point right now... Did NOT see that coming. T.O. has touched the ball twice for a total of 18 yards.

Right now, the Jets are down 3 and driving. The Redskins are up 3, but the Browns are in field goal territory.

This could go either way.

And the Jets get into overtime with a 52 yarder.

OK guys, fyo can take his first round trophy and hang it on the wall.  The league has been reset and everyone is active again.  Be sure to make your pick by 1 pm on Sunday or you will be eliminated. 

Wow, just wow.  I cannot believe so many people forgot that once we have a champ, the league resets. 

Stl, Rick, Fyo, and AZ all successfully picked the Jets today and survived.  I'm confident I'll live to fight another week because I've got Houston who currently holds a 35-6 lead over Cincy. 

Everyone else, and I do mean EVERYONE will be boarding the Forgot To Make A Pick bus for a one way trip to the Land of the Eliminated. 

I think there needs to be a completely new thread when we restart. Those who have been knocked out might not be following this one...

Good idea, but we've never had this problem before, and always kept all the Survival League posts in one thread. 

I had to make my pick last Wednesday, so I forgot who I picked!

I believe in "real" Eliminator...not "give me a second chance" Eliminator. ;)

AZ Fins Fan and  defending champ fyo have been given their tickets on the Forgot To Make A Pick bus and will take a trip to the Land of the Eliminated. 

Stl, Rick, and myself are all that's left in this round.  Not good.

Whoever is left, do not forget to get your pick in before the game tomorrow night.  I don't want everyone else being eliminated.  Due to the lack of interest in the second round, I will not reset for a third round if this one ends too quickly. 

Rick and I have survived another week.  Rick's homerism paid off, and I nabbed Carolina over Oakland.  Stl has Arizona over San Fran.  We'll have to wait till Monday night to see if she gets a trip to the Land of the Eliminated.

Arizona barely squeaks by San Fran.  For only the second time this season, all remaining survivors will live to fight another week.

For the first time since I began playing Survival Football, I have decided to make a "homer" pick and I took the Dolphins this week.  Stl has followed suit, and Rick is going with the Eagles. 

Stl and I stand on the platform of the Survivor Station, looking somberly at the Wrong Pick Train as it begins to pull away.  Rick leans out the window and waives goodbye to us for the final time.  Due to his pick ending in a tie, he will be making his journey to the Land of the Eliminated. 

Way to go Stl, we both decided to be homers this week and it did us some good.  You and me are all that's left now. 

Dang Tommy the homer pick almost got us on that train too.

Luckily it didn't.... because then we would've had no champion.  This way, there still could be. 

For some reason Rick is still in this thing. 

Rick, if you're reading this, make a pick next week. 

I thought the rules clearly state that a tie is just as bad as a loss.  Guess I was wrong.

Looks like both Stl and I will again live to survive another week.  Although it's early, we took advantage of lopsided matchups on Thanksgiving Day, and can now have a long week to think about our next moves. 

And Stl and I both live to fight yet ANOTHER week. 

With two weeks to go, Stl and I are still in this thing!!!!

Wow, this one lasted a while. 

I want to thank all who participated in the league this year.  This year was the biggest turnout we've had since I started posting here.  Additionally, early season injuries and unprecedented rises to the top by certain teams made the results very interesting.   All in all, it was a great year.
