Title: After Week 1, 5 Head Coaches already need to be fired immediately:
Post by: jtex316 on September 07, 2008, 11:19:28 pm
Yes, it's week 1 of the NFL season. However, already, there are five NFL head coaches who I've had enough with, and need to be given their walking papers immediately, because they are all a disgrace to the NFL.

1. Marvin Lewis (CIN) - Marvin Lewis, you are the worst NFL head coach right now in the league. Your entire team is full of nothing but loud-mouthed, ignorant, juvenile, law-breaking thugs. You have had 1 winning season since you've been there, and every year, your team gets worse. You have a dangerous offensive set of receivers and quarterback, and every single year they look pathetic. Today was the absolute last straw for you as far as I'm concerned. You got thumped by both a rookie QB making his first ever NFL start, but by a rookie Head Coach making his first NFL start. He made your players look foolish on defense, Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson looked foolish on offense. You had an off-season full of drama and bullshit with Johnson and Rudi Johnson, and this garbage is the output?  All I heard about you since 2000 is how great of a Head Coach you would be, and how it was time that you were "given your shot". Well, you've shot blanks. Get the hell out of Cincinnati and stop embarrasing the National Football League with your ringling-brothers and barnum and bailey circus of a team.

2. Romeo Crennel (CLE) - Your defense is ABSOLUTELY OFFENSIVE. Holy shit. This coming from a defensive coach. Your defense was absolutely LIT UP today. Granted, they are the Cowboys, but your defense didn't even bother rushing the QB, and allowed Marion Barber and the rookie Felix Jones to run ALL OVER. I mean, HOLY SHIT, that was horrendous. Simply Horrendous. You again have players like Braylon Edwards, who dropped 45 balls today, Kellen Winslow, Derek Anderson, and Jamal Lewis, and your team SUCKS. This is why I started the Cowboys defense in one fantasy league today - because I knew Cleveland was a fluke last season and a joke this season. You are simply not an NFL head coach - even the crazy amount of talent around you can't help you win big ballgames. The worst part of this was when Rack decides to kick a field goal instead of going for it on 4th down, down 28-7 in the game with more than 10 mins. left. Basically, you quit with 10 minutes left. This was supposed to be the game that "put Cleveland on the map". Not even Drew Carey can put Cleveland on the map now. Goodbye Romeo.

3. Rod Marinelli (DET) - Some teams are simply destined to suck - The cardinals, The cheifs, and The Lions. So, you may as well fire Marinelli (and whoever the hell his offensive HC is) right now. Why you ask, since I just mentioned that the Lions are destined to suck, no matter what? The Lions, in the first 8 minutes of the season, were down 21-0 to the Atlanta Falcons, who, just like the Ravens, featured a rookie Head Coach, a rookie QB, and a first-time starting RB. And you were down 21-0. So basically, you spent all OTA's, all mini-camps, all training camps, all practices, all pre-season games, and all of warm-up before the game to have your team come out and DO THAT? Simply unexcusable. Get the hell out of the NFL you unqualified hack.

4. Herman Edwards (KC) - Another "head coach of destiny" should start packing up all the little personal items scattered around his office and find a new line of work, effective today. Herman Edwards' Chiefs are simply bad. They had Tom Brady knocked out of the game, the Patriots reeling from it, and they still couldn't beat them. I mean what else do you ask for - an aging defense coming off a Super Bowl loss (arguably the worst loss of all-time), on the road playing in Arrowhead, and the NFL MVP of 50 Touchdowns out for the year. Your QB sucks, your backup QB Huard sucks, your receivers are garbage, your defense blows, and Larry Johnson, AGAIN, sucks. How many more years of misery do KC Fans need to endure? You've had enough years at this in KC already. Go back to doing whatever the hell it is that you were doing before you become a head coach in the NFL. Please.

5. Scott Linehan (STL) - Finally, this bum should not be allowed to return to the state of Missouri. Your team got absolutely SHALACKED today. It wasn't even competitive. Your offense again has weapons, and they put up a grand total of three points today. 3 fucking points. THREE. Let me point out that these three points came in the fourth quarter with 9:00 minutes left in the game (so basically, on 4th down, down by 30+ points, you kick a Field Goal? Moron). You've been at this for I believe your third season, and you shouldn't be at it for 1 second longer. Your team was horrendous the year you took over, dispicable last season, and not even close to NFL caliber this time around. Weren't you some kind of offensive co-ordinator for some local team here a few years ago? THREE POINTS is all you can do with Stepehn Jackson, Torry Holt, and Marc Bulger? Also, you GAVE UP 38 points to a team with Donovan McInjury and basically me and Brian Fein at wide receiver. A guy by the name of Jason Avant lit you up. Who the fuck is Jason Avant? Anyone with that dumb of a name that lights you up should be automatic grounds for banishment fron the NFL.

How about Jim Zorn.  He looked and sounded like a complete CHILD in his post game extra on Thursday nite.  what a girl he is!

Today, every first year coach is exempt, no matter how crappy their teams (Sporano, Zorn). They may even be exempt for the month of September. It's their first game, ever. These five clowns have been head coaches for a long time now - two of their teams got destroyed - DESTROYED - by two rookie QB's and two rookie HC's in their first ever NFL games. Simply unforgivable.
