Title: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: Philly Fin Fan on September 08, 2008, 08:31:04 pm I really could care less one way or the other about the Packers, but I seriously hope that Rodgers lights it up this season.
The guy bided his time and waited on the bench (except for a few games he got into late). When Favre would make his big stink every year about retiring or not, Rodgers kept quiet and was classy. Even this year, when Favre was going at it in the press with the Packers management, Rodgers didn't comment on it and kept his mouth shut (and he was always being asked). Good luck to you Rodgers. Aww come on...It was his first leap. ;D He is looking good tonight. Think Favre is applauding or booing? Title: Re: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on September 08, 2008, 10:05:20 pm Considering how good Minnesota's defense is, that looks really good on Rodgers

I don't really know if he's "paid his dues". I'm just saying I'd like to see him do well because of the way Favre has acted. In my opinion, it seems like Favre kind of felt like he was the be all/end all of QBs. I think his agent even made a remark like "who would you rather have as your QB- Favre or Rodgers?" when the Pack said they would welcome Favre back from retirement as the back up. Title: Re: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: Tenshot13 on September 08, 2008, 10:25:26 pm I say good for Rodgers...glad to see him succeed.
Title: Re: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: Phishfan on September 08, 2008, 11:26:50 pm I normally would have rooted for the Vikings in a game like this, but I found myself wanting Rodgers to be successful.
Title: Re: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: Dave Gray on September 09, 2008, 01:43:20 am I totally agree with everything you guys said. He was (and is) in a no win situation. ...but he's remained humble and did whatever was asked of him. Hopefully these Favre comparisons don't keep going for the rest of his career.

Matt Cassel vs Aaron Rogers Title: Re: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: SCFinfan on September 09, 2008, 06:00:02 pm Nothing's as good as a long-delayed payoff. Congrats to 'im.

I'm sure you understand. ;) Title: Re: Green Bay/ Aaron Rodgers Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on September 09, 2008, 09:59:20 pm I could agree with that...I'd be rooting for Rogers though. I'm sure you understand. ;) If Cassel is on the losing end of the SB, he will have exceeded expectations by a wide margin.
