Also, im glad the scUM fans made complete asses of themselves over the weekend in gainesville. The GPD had more arrest for this game than any other over the past 3 years. Cars were being spray painted, disorderly conduct, throwing objects on the field during the game, you guys really know how to conduct yourselves on the road.

  ^^  I'm with you Gocowboys.....if you want to stop a team from running up the score, try playing fucking defense....Miami players talked shit all week and they got what they deserved....besides, with the way college football polls are voted on, teams almost HAVE to score as much as possible against QUALITY opponents....the bigger the margain of victory, the better the winning team looks to the pollsters...I am not a Gator fan (or an Urban Myer fan), but I would have done the same thing Saturday Night....  Randy Shannon needs to STFU and worry about his team.

Miami really hasn't been a quality opponent for years.

  Compared to playing teams like Villanova, Miami-OH, Buffalo etc, etc. ....Miami of Florida is very much looked upon as a quality win by the pollsters....not to mention the rivalry aspect of the game!! ;)

About the last minute FG ... I really don't have a problem with it --- you play until the final whistle.
What I do have a problem with --- 2 blown calls on 2 crucial drives cuz the refs don't have the backbone to make the right call in that dump of a stadium the swamp.

You were supposed to blow us out of the sky, but even though Im not one for moral victories, it was cool for the U to hang tough in the 4th quarter, where it took 2 bs calls to extend the lead & a booster phone call to cover the spread. See you in 5 years is right, when you'll no longer have your seniors play our freshmen & the D will be up to snuff. I cant wait to slap the taste out of the gaytors mouth until then.

Ohh by the way Miam iwas actually the older team saturday night. Miami started 13 seniors and juniors, meanwhile the gators started 12 sophomores. The gators have zero seniors starting on defense. Miami had 4 seniors starting on defense and 8 of the 22 starters were seniors. You had the more veteran team and still got waxed.

No excuses - a loss is a loss & congrats to the gaytors. Im just saying Im not impressed. It was close until the 4th quarter when it wasnt supposed to be allegedly & then the blown calls at home helped you out. Still, we lost to the better team that night. What I meant by freshmen vs seniors is those seniors on our team are not shannons recruits, they are coker retreads being filtered out. When we have a full class of shannons defense I think it will be tight.

I'm a huge fan of the Gators and I gotta say I'm with TEK,I wasn't impressed with Florida's offense either.In fact I said the same thing during the first quarter of the Hawaii game.If they expect to compete with SEC teams they better find an o- line quick.As for Miami,this game will do nothing but help land recruits and it was a big step back to being Miami again.

This thread isn't about the game, it's about shannon not taking his medicine like a man. Everyone knows Miami defensively gave the gators trouble and gave a great effort.

Shannon seems more worried about recruiting than actually winning. Who cares if recruits called you at 1am,national signing day isn't until feburary. Shannon knows Urban is a huge threat in south florida so he's trying to sell things like playing hard and morals, pleaseeeee.

UM and Morals, can anyone find me a bigger oxymoron. Meyer is paid 3.2 milion dollars, he's free to whatever he pleases. Shannon would never make it as a coach in the SEC because his skin isn't thick enough. If you get your ass beat in the SEC you take it and move on. Shannon's statements are backfiring on him and it's making the once invincible "U" look like a bunch of punks. Jimmy johnson. Dennis erickson , and Butch Davis would've never whined liked this.

Jim Rome, Gregg Doyle, and Israel Gutierrez took shannon to task this week and were justified in doing so.

One day shannon is going to need to RUTS score to impress the voters, im dying to see if he practices what he preaches.

Who cares? The Gators won and the Canes lost. That's what everyone expected. The Gators didn't look as sharp as I would have hoped, but everyone knew the Hawaii and Miami games were tune ups. The season really begins against Tennessee.

Positives for the Gators so far: 2-0 is still 2-0.

Positives for the Canes so far: No players shot or arrested since the beginning of the season.

Great talk for Gaytor Fans.... They Finally beat the Canes in what 25 yrs.    Woop ti doooo!!!  Now  they got all this smack to talk.   Yeah, the Gaytors beat the canes,  they were suppose to.  Being a Miami  fan, I never expected them to win. But would have been nice.  Realize the  Canes are  not  the same ol team from the past and it will take time for them to become elite again.   The gaytors were not always at the cream  of the crop.  These  things happen you Rise  and You  Fall.  It happens all the time. 

Now I hold no excuses for Randy Shannons'  action.  I do believe your in it to score as much points as possible on an opponent.   Hell the Canes been doing it for years. 

Well these teams meet again in 2013. Hopefully Miami will have their shit together and trounce the Gaytors once again.
