Thanks to everyone who participated in the first four "chapters" of the TDMMC Photo Contest.  I'm kind of disappointed in the steady decline in participation.  Three entries in the last one hardly makes it worth anyone's time.  I HOPE to see 10+ entries for this one.  Even if you've never sent one in before, go take a picture and send it in.

For the record...

Here are the rules:

1.) Each participant has 2 weeks to hit the road, plan, and execute their entry for the contest.
2.) Entries will be emailed to me.  Please limit your photo to a reasonable 800x600 resolution.  I don't need 10MP photos and I don't wanna have to spend my time resizing.
3.) Photoshopping is allowed, but please refrain from making this a photoshop contest.  No composites or major manipulations (panoramics, selective color, etc).
4.) Photos should be newly taken, not unearthed from the depths of your hard drive.
5.) Photos will be posted on these forums and voted on by members of the congregation.
6.) All entries deemed "not safe for work" will be disqualified, so no porn or nudity please.
7.) The contest is very dependent upon the honor system, and the prizes aren't good enough for you to compromise your honor.  Please do the right thing.

The Judges will be:
All of the TDMMC Faithful readers.

The fourth category will be:
It is that time of year when the leaves start changing colors and some beautiful landscapes can be seen across the country.  Show us your beautiful landscapes.

Remember, the object here is to grab your camera and go out and take new pictures!  So get out there and start shooting. 

The deadline for Chapter 5 entries will be November 2nd, at which time all entries will be posted (anonymously, by me) for voting by the judges and Chapter 6 will be posted. 

Please email your entries to photos@thedolphinsmakemecry.com.  DO NOT POST ENTRIES IN THIS THREAD!  In your email, please include your photo, your TDMMC screen name, what the subject is, what camera (and lens, if applicable) you used for the shot, and your settings, if possible.

I changed the deadline for this Category to November 2nd. 

I will post another category in the mean time.

There should be no excuses for having only 3 entries in either of the next 2!

Fall??? What's that? Is that the season in between Summer and Winter in all of the other states. I have never experienced this so called fall!!!!!  ;)

Neither have I - its this mythical thing that I see pictures of in books and magazines but never get to see for myself.  Kinda like Tornadoes, or Northern Lights.

So I know some people are in a real pissy mood..but I was kind of wondering the status of this contest?

I've been too busy to participate lately.  Maybe after I get back from Vegas...

Brian extended the entry date. But I've been so swamped lately, I didn't notice he extended it and rushed around this morning to get my pic!

Well We're just starting to hit the "near peak" Fall colors in the trees here....I've got a couple of day trips this week to Northern Arkansas....None of which involved my original Ideas.....Unfortunately the wether may not be so Good this week... :-\

I thought this would also be a nice excuse to get the hell out of town...I need the break....

You guys have 2 more weeks to take some photos. 

I cleaned out the inbox because Fau put a limit on how many emails I can receive at that address, so if you've sent any entries in for this round, I didn't get it.  Please re-send.

I have to admit, I never thought this would be such a pain in the ass...2 of my ideas got vetoed ...and nearly got me arrested.... :D I've got a couple of entries that I'm looking to enter...When I choose what one I want to enter...

Kinda funny having a "fall" themed photo contest on a florida based website....whats next? "snow"

Next topic should be "World Series Parades". I have a few pics I could enter ;)

OK, here's the deal.  I have 7 entries right now (thanks to everyone for getting them in).  I forgot to download and prep them last night because I suck.  I will likely post them tonight, since I need a resizer ( ::) ) and I don't have a good quality resizer on my work computer, and I don't want to damage anyone's image quality.

You can resize it with Microsoft Paint. It doesnt damage the quality. I use it to resize when I don't feel like waiting for Photoshop to open.

Did we ever specify one entry only?

I would have tried to enter another entry.... :-\ I had the Great oppurtunity this morning for a great Picture...Then thought Ohh well I already entered it....

^^^^I was going to also enter a pic I took Friday at the WS Parade, because I thought it fit the "fall" topic (a stretch, but true).

B - if you wanna replace your entry with another one you think is better, you have until tonight to do it.  I give it only one entry per person so that, statistically speaking, everyone has an equal chance of winning.
