You realize that back in the old NFL days, the Canton (Ohio) Bulldogs actually did have an unbeaten season and won the NFL Championship..... but they tied two games. Not a perfect season. Not a perfect season. Same thing with the Cleveland browns in 1948, 13-0-1 was there record. (Espn page 2 notes 7 winless team as the worst of all time), i also found 3 teams that went winless on football reference.com.

Might as well count the NFL from the merger in 1970 forward. When did the Browns join the NFL (the first time, not in 99)? I know the Browns are the reason the Rams moved to LA but don't know when they came over from the AAFC.
