Title: Predictions- vs 49ers
Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on December 08, 2008, 09:49:28 am
This game scares me.  If Nolan were still the coach, and JT O'Sullivan the QB, it wouldn't even be a question.  But since Mike Singletary took over and Shaun Hill is now the signal caller, they've been playing much better.

Dolphins will take this one in a similar fashion to the Rams, Seahawks, and Raiders.

Dolphins 17

Niners 13

Anyone know the status of Frank Gore?

Niners RB Frank Gore was helped off the field with a left ankle injury early in the second half Week 14 against the Jets. Gore, among the NFL's leaders in yards rushing and all-purpose yards, was hurt when a pile of tacklers fell on his leg as he stretched to reach the first-down marker on the second play of the second half. He kept his weight off his left ankle as two trainers helped him to the bench, and he left the field sitting in the passenger seat of a cart moments later. He had 14 carries for 52 yards before leaving and caught three passes for 13 yards, including a four-yard score.

I feel good about this one regardless of Gore's injury; nice catch Brian.  God knows JP Loserman helped us yesterday.  I think we'll win even if Gore plays but without...

Fins       27
49'ers    13

From the 49'ers website.  "Gore expects to know more about his playing status by Wednesday or Thursday, but if he has any say, he’ll be in action when the 49ers go again next Sunday in Miami."  It also has a direct quote about him coming home to Miami and being excited about it.  I think he'll play.

Since apparently, they can only score 16 points in a single game:

Dolphins 16
49ers      10

Winning ugly!  ;D

Miami Dolphins- 20

San Fran 49ers-  17

The Phins WILL find a way to keep their playoff hopes alive with a hard fought win.

Mike Singeltary deserves to be the Niner's Head Ball Coach next season....he has done a great job since taking over in San Fransico.

Only prediction I am making this week...

Miami: 0 injuries
49ers: 0 injuries

Anyone know the status of Frank Gore?

I've been buzzing around a number of 49ers "inside dirt" sites this morning, looking fo that exact nugget of info. No word yet on the severity of that ankle injury.

Dolphins: 27

The niners played really well Yesterday. We had the Game right up there next to the Phins game and it looked like they ran the ball really well and were able to pass at will on the Jets.  This game scares me a bit.............

Heart says:

Phins 31
49ers 27

Head says:

Phins  24
49ers  27

I hate to be a turd, but I have a feeling that we go down this week.

SF is the kind of team that beats us, despite them sucking.

SF 24
Miami 20

The 49' ers  spanked the BRETTS 24- 14..  Be fore that, they beat the Jills 16- 3.  So the 49's been beating up on the AFC East so far.  Will Miami be another casualty .  The Fins has been winning very ugly but a win is a win.  This game scare me.

Gonna stik with Miami on this one.

Gold Miners - 14

Sea mammals- 17

The Jets still haven't won on the west coast, so no surprise that the 49ers beat them at home.  and the bills can't beat anybody, so no surprise there either.

The Jets also lost to the Raiders and the chargers, and to the Broncos at home.  The Dolphins, excluding the Texans game, dont "find ways to lose" like that.

Dolphins win this.  They have their eyes on the prize.

Latest injury report has Gore listed as questionable.  He has missed his third consecutive practice.  I feel much better about going against DeShaun Foster than Gore.

The 49ers are also the "only" team from a west coast time zone to travel to the east coast and win an early game this year...

I don't think you're gonna see Gore though... DeShaun Foster and Michael Robinson will likely be the primary runners. I expect Shaun Hill to throw, throw and then throw some more.

No Gore, no 49er win.

Miami wins quite easily this week.  24-7.

I've been doing some reading and I'm feeling better about the game today. I read that Miami has the Lowest Turnover rate in the league and might even beat the alltime record for lowest turnovers set by the 1990 Giants........another Parcells run Team. (No Coincidence  ;))

Yet the 49ers are dead last with like 30 (forgot the exact number) Turnovers . They played very well against the Jets last week , but I want to Flip Flop my prediction and state that the Turnover ratio will work in our favor . They are trying to start a war or words between Porter and that blocking Tightend........(Again I can't remember his name. ) That shows me right there they don't have much if they are resorting to psychological warfare and head games already.

Miami 28
49ers 17 and turn the ball over at least twice. Porter gets 2 sacks as well making it 18 1/2 for the season.

I think if you'd dug a little deeper, you'd have seen that the turnover rate since O'Sullivan was benched and Shaun Hill took over at QB has been "much" better. O'Sullivan...11 interceptions in 7 games. Shaun Hill...4 interceptions in 6 games. Turnovers are always a possibility for any team, but Hill takes care of the ball extremely well.

I said lastnight on the show..
49ers, 16
Miami 17

I wouldn't be shocked to see the 49ers beat us....They seem to be Slaying the AFC east this year....

modified to add,The windy rainy conditions,Don't help the Dolphins...Chad's passes fluttering in the wind, right into the arms of defenders...This is alot like the advantage we got last week playing in the Dome,This week we get the short end of the stick....

Gore or no Gore, I expect the Dolphins to lose this game.

49ers 20
Dolphins 16

Throw in a Jets' and Pats' win, just to remind us that we're not worthy...

No turnovers for either team.  Hill had no picks but was sacked FIVE TIMES!!!!
