Title: Start talkin' up some crowd noise
Post by: Doc-phin on January 03, 2009, 12:38:10 pm
As most of you have probably noticed, most analysts are picking the Ravens in our 1st round game.

I think that it is being significantly overlooked that we are playing against a Rookie QB from Deleware at home and have a great oppurtunity to screw up offensive communication with some crowd noise.

I know that there has been little incentive to yell at games over the past few years, and the crowd has had alot of out of town mix-ins, but I really think the place will have a chance to rock this week.

We need our fan base at the game to be savy about the conditions on the field and be a major factor in a game that is actually fairly evenly matched.  Get loud on third down.  Don't let the other team take the wind out of the stadium.  Make the setting intimidating from start to finish no matter the score or a few bad breaks.  Don't forget to quiet down when the offense is on the field, particularly in critical situations.

Personally, I think the 12th man steps it up big this week!!!

but yeah this whole season i sneaked in a big cowbell that i would play and pumped up the crowd arround me... it would get pretty annoying for the visitor crowd lol..

Our stadium we be loaded this weekend with the fair weather Dol-Fans!All the fine people who go to a game to say they were their! I MAY BE ASK TO LEAVE BUT I'M GOING TO RAISE SOME HELL! We have one of the worst home crowds in the NFL! I would like to start some new chants. When fieldgoals are being attemted instead of block that kick try

                                   WIDE RIGHT!!!
Try to get in his head. Kickers are fickle dudes and if you get in they are done.
When our defense is on the field lets try

                                 THIS IS OUR HOUSE
                             (STOMP STOMP OR CLAP CLAP)
                                      OUR HOUSE
                             (STOMP STOMP OR CLAP CLAP)
                                  THIS IS OUR HOUSE
That some should fire them up! Give our home team some help this week and get off your asses and MAKE SOME FUCKING NOISE !!!!!!
For all you folks that find this anoyinng stay home  and watch from your sofa!!

There's a problem with them having a rookie quarterback.  I remember seeing somewhere during a playoff game that quarterbacks making their first playoff start on the road were 15-5 or something like that and a rookie quarterback starting in the same circumstance was 4-1.  I tried looking it up but haven't been too successful.

Actually Fredfinstoned is right.Last time I attended a Phins game, besides it being like a home game for the other team, every time I would yell the people around me would give me that "pooh-pooh" look---as if we were at a polo match or watching tennis or golf(actually PGA fans are more passionate).
I will be glad to see a playoff game at Dolphins Stadium, though, after going 1-15 last year we should be glad to have the fans we have. While Miami doesn't have snow and below zero weather, cheeseheads, the dawg pound, the black hole,or other intimidating factors,it would be nice for our home field to have some sort of an identity or home field advantage.I will be watching from my couch(and yes, probably yelling and scaring my family). No one is giving us a chance to win so I hope we stick it to Ray Lewis and the Ravens.Go Phins!

well the sound levels were quite high in the first half, they died down alot the second. i did see alot of the towels swinging, i have to watch on tv but, i think there was 95% home team fans. at least thats what it looked like to me.
