Title: Mark Ingram in custody, famous for catching the clock play
Post by: doctord56 on January 03, 2009, 08:31:06 pm
Mark Ingram, former NFL wideout, has been captured in Michigan after being a fugitive from justice. A sad ending for the man who caught Dan Marino's famous clock play against the Jets.

More famous for the catch as a NY Giant in the Superbowl and the fight for the first down.

"Ingram was drafted by the Giants in the first round (28th overall) in the 1987 NFL Draft. He is probably best known for a third down play in Super Bowl XXV in which he eluded at least five Buffalo Bills defenders to achieve a critical first down for the Giants to sustain a long touchdown drive"

He caught ALL of the comeback TDs in that game. I heard a comedian say that pro sports players turn into criminals...STUPID criminals.

Actually Ingram didn't catch any tds in that game. It was a rushing td by anderson, and stephen baker 'the touchdown maker' that scored. Also 2 fgs.
