Title: Predictions- Confrence Championships Post by: Frimp on January 11, 2009, 02:57:16 pm I know I'm a few hours early, but I'm going to make a prediction now.
The Cardinals will be in the Super Bowl. It doesn't matter whether its the Eagles or Giants as their opponents in the NFC Championship game. The Cards defense has really stepped up, and neither of these 2 teams seem to have the offense to keep up with the Cards. If I'm right, I'm a genius. Now that the conference championships have been decided, I'm going with both home teams.
Arizona 31 Philadelphia 20- Arizona found its defense and running game at just the right time. While the defense won't get as many turnovers out of Donovan McNabb as they did out of Jake Delhomme, they will stop the Eagles. Edgerrin James is hot, and will continue to light it up. Pittsburgh 13 Baltimore 10- The number one and number two defenses in the league meet for the third time. Pittsburgh won both regular season meetings, and will make it a trifecta. A rookie QB has never started in a Super Bowl, and I don't see Joe Flacco being the first. There's a reason why both defenses are #1 and #2 in the league. They have ways of confusing you, and will line up in formations you've never seen before to throw you off balance. Pittsburgh, however, has a better running game, and that will give them the edge they need. |
