Quote "The Dolphins gave him a promise that they'll take him if he's around at [the 25th pick]," Mitchell Butler III said hours before the draft started on Saturday, adding that Darius Butler had received that promise from Dolphins brass. I am guessing BB isn't gonna have a hard time motiving his newest CB when they play the Dolphins. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-darius-butler-miami-dolphins-draft-042509,0,6871621.story Title: Re: Dolphins lie to Bulter Post by: Frimp on April 26, 2009, 09:36:13 am I wonder why they went with Davis instead.

A rookie corner back wants "revenge" twice a year? A corner. Yeah. I'm quakin'. Title: Re: Dolphins lie to Bulter Post by: Sunstroke on April 27, 2009, 01:14:41 pm personally, i would rather have had Butler over Davis, but that's just me... You and me both... Any promise told to any prospect leading up to the draft should be taken with a grain of salt. Same goes for every comment leaked to the press about where a prospect is going to be selected. Some are good intentioned lies that can't be met due to other changes in the draft, while others are deliberate misinformation designed to get a player to slide or rise in accordance with the team's needs. That's just the nature of the Biz... Title: Re: Dolphins lie to Bulter Post by: Brian Fein on April 27, 2009, 02:23:54 pm its called "posturing"
