Adrian Peterson's Fantasy Value has just imploded. The superb Vikings defense will now have shitty field position for the rest of the season because the Minnesota Vikings were stupid enough to sign the worst, most overrate piece of shit QB in the history of the NFL to their team.

I agree with JoeTex that this dooms the Vikes season, but disagree with its affect on Adrian's fantasy value. He is still the no-doubt #1 overall pick, and as long as his O-line stays intact, AD will put up phenomenal numbers this season.

He had to comeback.  He still needs to break Moon's record.  It is just about the only QB record he hasn't broken.

This just in.  John Madden has decided to return to broadcasting.  He is currently negotiating with Fox to call all Vikings games. 

Even die-hard Favre fans have to be sick of this!! This is crazy!!

I don't understand why teams put up with his crap.  Minnesota wasted a free agent signing on Sage Rosenfels and I'm sure either he or Booty won't make the team.  Faver pulls this shit every year just to get out of his contract, or most of training camp, or both. 

I also don't agree with the assesment of one of the NFL network commentators that Minnesota is a Superbowl Caliber team except at quarterback.  They didn't go to the Superbowl or a conference championship and lose.  They lost in the first round.  They have an above average defensive line (I'd love to see if they were as good against the run outdoors) and a top-flight running back. 

Here's the thing about Favre.  He wants to play on Sundays, but he feels he's too good for practice.  He doesn't want to stay with the team.  He doesn't want to run drills.  He doesn't want to do what it takes to be a football player.  After all, he IS Brett Favre.

Green Bay got mad at him for this, and so he demanded his trade or release.  In order to stick it to the Packers, he wanted to play for the Vikings.  However, Green Bay didn't want this.  So they sent him to New York.  Favre "retired" merely to get out of his contract, forcing the Jets to release him.  Only to re-sign with the Vikings.  If I was a Jets' fan, I'd be PISSED!

Favre's only motivation is to "get back at" Green Bay.  Its transparent.  He has a sour grapes attitude about how the Packers treated him and he just wants the opportunity to stick it in their faces.  I hope the Packers wipe the floor with the Vikings this season.  You know everyone in Wisconsin just circled two dates on their calendar: October 5 and November 1.  I expect a media circus for the week leading up to these games, and the week following.  I'm already sick of it.

Favre is like a child complaining that someone stole his lunch money and trying to tie the bully's shoelaces together.  I have a feeling that, if the Vikings beat the Packers, Favre may not even finish the season.  If the Packers beat the Vikings, expect to see Favre back for Waffle-fest 2010 next season.

Agreed.  Anyone can break a record if they play enough games.  How many of Favre's records are career tallies, and how many single-season records does he have?

If I went out and played football for 100 years, eventually I could accumulate enough numbers to break NFL records.

I have a policy of never hoping for a player to be injured, regardless of how much I dislike that player (see Owens, TO), but I believe an injury is the only thing that will take Brett out of football.

Just being a Jets fan is reason to be pissed.  I was a Jets fan for a week last year...it sucked.
