I don't like how he acts, but I think Bellichek is the best.  He's cold blooded.

I'd have to agree with D_B.  I love Mike Tomlin's tough guy approach to the game.... which you have to have for a team like the Steelers.

I'm sorry Dave...I know it's your site and all, but I have to revoke your Dolphins membership card....I know, I know, you have been more of a Dolphins supporter than most....you made this site, you have gone to conferences/meetings that the rest of us don't get to go to involving the Dolphins AND involving people you don't have to, but do because you're a good guy and all...BUT (and this is a HUUUUUUGE BUT) did......did.......did you just say Belicheck is the best?  FUCKING TRAITOR!!!!!! ;)

Dave's right. If bb could replicate what he's done up there in ne, i'd take him down here in miami anyday.

Belichick is a phenomenal football coach. He can see things 3-4 steps in front of any one else that he is coaching against. 3 Super Bowl titles, 4 Super Bowl appearances, countless playoff games and AFCE titles. The guy is the shit, there's absolutely no argument here. Remember they went 11-5 last season with Matt Cassell!! Look how Cassell is doing now in Kansas City.

I really like both new coaches of the teams I like to cheer for, Mike Singletary and Tony Sparano.

I'm fairly fond of Tom Cable, to be quite dishonest with you all...

i hate the patriots , and belichick. probably because he is our division rival and not coaching the dolphins.  but realistically all of you would drool over yourselves for the chance to have him coach here  and work his magic here. it has nothing to do with being a traitor, you gotta give credit where its due......his record speaks for itself........he simply is the best. period.

Then again, he hasn't been the "best" in several years now.  His last 4 or 5 drafts haven't exactly gone over like gangbusters (his best players not named Tom Brady, Jared Mayo, and Vince Wilfork (I'm sure I'm forgetting others) are veterans acquired via FA or trade).  I'd welcome him, but I don't hold him in the same esteem that some (many) of you do.

There's more to being a coach than just drafting.  He is able to take other teams scraps and turn them into productive players.  He gets the most out of his dollar and understands the "new NFL" more than anyone.

I also think he's on the front end of another revolution.  We're going to see a lot more of this "going for it instead of punting" at some point.  Statistically, it makes sense.

being the best doesnt have to mean winning the super bowl every year. if you look at it that way, shula wasn't superbowl successful every year either, but he was considered one the best of his time. consistancy is what i'm talking about. like shula, belichick has a consistant winning record, and is always competitive. always a threat. that is what makes him one of the best of his era.

Mike Singletary.  I like a guy that builds a team in his image and Singletary is/was/and will always be a beast.  He tells it like it is.

You can have him.  I didn't see any magic in Cleveland or with the Jets.  Just because it works in New England doesn't mean it will work in Miami.

Dave & Dolphandom,

It's mostly the hate talking.  Like I said, I'd welcome him as coach.  However, given that I detest him, I need to nitpick at any flaw I see, and recent drafts are all I've got...

Anyway, I more or less agree with Dan LeBatard on this:  he's the same coach he was in Cleveland.  He lucked into Tom Brady, and now he's a genius.
