Title: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: Dave Gray on November 27, 2009, 12:27:04 am What an incredible nap-inducing day of football all around, but the Giants top it all. They suck.
The entire NFC East is a joke and only get credit for their big wins against each other. They're like the Big 10 Conference. The Giants are a joke, the Cowboys suck, the Eagles are turds, and the Redskins are a laughingstock. That is all. Whichever one of them wins the division is just going to get stomped. Are the Saints and Colts really this good or the rest of the NFL just mediocre to bad. I agree with you David, just bad football. Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: fyo on November 27, 2009, 07:30:05 am The Giants are a joke, the Cowboys suck, the Eagles are turds, and the Redskins are a laughingstock. Vegas (and public opinion) just got this one wrong. The line on the Giants-Broncos game was way out of whack considering Orton was back under center. I got my bet in the second I saw that he participated in practice (payout of $3 and change per dollar wagered, thank you very much). With Orton, the Broncos are a decent team and the defense can be VERY good. The Giants are weaker than Dallas and MUCH weaker than Philly, who are massively underrated. I don't know why the public perception of the 6-4 Giants (now 6-5) was that high. Dallas is a confusing team. Their defense is downright awful at times and Romo mixes awesome throws (like his spin-move-foot-plant-throw yesterday) with bad reads and poor execution. But Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice... wow... that's gotta be the best running back trio in the league. The Iggles are a really good team with one glaring weakness: Their secondary. They actually have a decent pass rush, but if they don't get a lot of pressure on the quarterback quickly, they have no chance against a good passing offense. When you allow Jason Campbell to throw for nearly 300 yards... Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: Denver_Bronco on November 27, 2009, 09:48:48 am I don't know if you can really hammer the Giants for getting stomped by America's team last night. It can't possibly be easily traveling across country and playing against a team with only 3 days to prepare.
I agree Dave that the Giants are not equal to either the Cowboys or the Eagles. I also believe the Eagles are the best of that inconsistent trio, especially with the youth they have on that team. They lose Westbrook and don't miss a beat because Lesean McCoy, not to mention Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, and have one of the best young TE's in the league in Selleck. A lot of good talent. (sorry for butchering names....too lazy to google the correct spelling.:)) Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: Brian Fein on November 28, 2009, 12:20:16 am I have been saying this for weeks. The Giants are pretenders. Tha Cowboys suck. The Eagles lost to the Raiders. THE RAIDERS!!
Best division in the league my ass. Most competitive division, maybe, because they all suck. Clearly not the best. Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: NADS on November 28, 2009, 03:16:44 am Is it possible the Giants can lose more than 8 to end the season? That'd be some kind of record. Good for you, DB, the Giants no longer have a pass rush. Congrats on getting Dawkins too.

Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: gocowboys31 on November 28, 2009, 09:05:26 am So if the NFC east is terrible......LMAO!!! Name me another division with 3 teams over .......500. The AFC east is the damn fraud. Miami, buffalo, and the jets are all frauds. For the dolphins at 5-5 to be even mentioned as a team with a possibility of making the playoffs is laughable.
I guess the bengals are frauds too because they lost to that same raiders team your killing the eagles for losing to. With exception of the pats the NFC east would have the AFC least for lunch. Call it want you want, but the best games coming down the strecth wil be in the NFC EAST, book it!!! I'm with ethurst and i've been saying this all along, the NFL is a terrible product. Half of the teams by week 5 were already calling Mel Kiper Jr. for his big board and making reservations for the Senior Bowl and the combine. All you have to do is look at tommorow's slate of games, they all blow. I have to wait until the sunday night and monday night's game to find a competitve macthup. Thank you Roger Goodell for ripping off the fans with you're mediorce to below average product. Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: Brian Fein on November 28, 2009, 11:21:50 am ^^ To me, your entire post is the equivalent of "oh yeah, well you're ugly!"
face it, preseason everyone was touting the NFC east as "the division to beat!" The Redskins are going to be so awesome with Haynesworth. Right... 5 teams got win #1 against them The Cowboys are so amazing. They nearly lost to the Redskins (as mentioned above) and barely beat the league's doormats all season long. The Giants are on a stretch losing 5 of 6 including getting demolished by the same team that, itself, got demolished by San Diego (considered to be bad) just last week. And the Eagles, probably the best of the division, are wildly inconsistent, and probably a 500 team or less if they played in the AFC. No one came on here and said "the Dolphins are awesome, the AFC East is where its at" so stop assuming that's the point. Many of us can look objectively at a group of teams and make a judgment. Clearly you lack that ability when your team is involved in the conversation. Title: Re: The NFC East is full of frauds. Post by: ethurst22 on November 28, 2009, 05:27:26 pm The NFC East has three coaches on the hot seat. Phillips, Coughlin and Zorn.
Coughlin would have been out in New York had they not won a Super Bowl. I think that management even thinks that it was divine intervention that David Tyree caught that ball with his helmet. The Giants have no leadership and they aren't inspired. They lost Toomer and Strahan and that's your leadership right there. Plax was never a leader so he's not in the equation. Eli is not a rah-rah guy at all. That's just his nature. Just like everyone else, some players on the Giants, who they deemed the future, got new contracts and got lazy. The Giants are just counting the weeks and Coughlin might not be back next year. He may retire. Brandon Jacobs has transformed into Tyrone Wheatley right before our eyes. The Giants look like they a psychologically beat and I don't know if its Coughlin or guys are simply on cruise control. |
