Title: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: dolphins4life on December 13, 2009, 04:02:45 pm The defense for bailing out the offense
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: ethurst22 on December 13, 2009, 04:07:56 pm The defense. I noticed that Miami played a lot of 4-3 which I was surprised to see. I think that playing the 4-3 is more effective than playing the 3-4.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Fau Teixeira on December 13, 2009, 04:24:20 pm my game ball goes to chad henne .. he threw 17 straight completions at one point and that's not easy to do
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Tenshot13 on December 13, 2009, 04:25:32 pm The defense, Gibril Wilson actually had a good game. The whole defense played great.
HM: Chad Henne and Greg Camarillo for going over 100 yards receiving. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: fyo on December 13, 2009, 04:29:53 pm The defense, Gibril Wilson actually had a good game. The whole defense played great. Yeah, that pass interference on third down inside Miami's 10 was really sweet... I give my game ball to Cameron Wake with honorable mention to Chad Henne. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: dolfan13 on December 13, 2009, 04:33:34 pm The defense, Gibril Wilson actually had a good game. The whole defense played great. huh??? wilson is TERRIBLE in pass coverage. were you watching the 60 yd pass that he got burnt on by holt? anyone on the d line i think is worthy of a game ball. kept jones-drew in check for the whole game. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Tenshot13 on December 13, 2009, 04:40:12 pm Let me rephrase that. For Gibril Wilson, he had a good game. He broke up a lot of key passes. He did mess up on that pass to Holt and the PI penalty, but other than that, was pretty solid. Point was, the Defense was good as a whole.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: StL FinFan on December 13, 2009, 07:16:30 pm Cameron Wake

Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Frimp on December 13, 2009, 07:48:44 pm Cameron Wake or Yeremiah Bell
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: JVides on December 13, 2009, 08:47:17 pm Defense, but 17 straight completions is impressive. HM to Henne.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: BigDaddyFin on December 13, 2009, 09:42:32 pm The entire Defense and WR corps
Chad Henne is not on this list because of that bonehead interception he threw at the end there in what was otherwise a really good game from him. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on December 13, 2009, 09:55:37 pm My Game Ball goes to Defensive Coordinator Paul Pasqualoni and the entire defensive unit!!!! Gave up one long drive, and one long bomb, other than that, a superb day. Relentlessly shut down the Jags offense.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Tepop84 on December 13, 2009, 10:07:20 pm i give it to camarillo. 7 catches 110 yards.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: DZA on December 13, 2009, 10:32:47 pm Greg Camarillo.. 110 yrds receiving . hell the entire WR corps came up big, GG
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: StL FinFan on December 13, 2009, 10:40:49 pm Greg Camarillo.. 110 yrds receiving . hell the entire WR corps came up big, GG If that is so, then shouldn't your game ball go to Henne, who was throwing those passes? Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Phishfan on December 14, 2009, 08:52:46 am I have to agree with Paul Pasqualoni. The defense is the sole reason we won this game.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: AZ Fins Fan 55 on December 14, 2009, 03:08:20 pm Agreed Pasqualoni for the way the D played!!!!!
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Dave Gray on December 14, 2009, 03:28:00 pm I will also choose Pasqualoni. When you lose the turnover battle by 3 to a team in the playoff race, and you only give up 10 points, you've done your job.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: MaineDolFan on December 14, 2009, 03:56:50 pm my game ball goes to chad henne .. he threw 17 straight completions at one point and that's not easy to do Damn straight. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Tepop84 on December 14, 2009, 06:02:22 pm my game ball goes to chad henne .. he threw 17 straight completions at one point and that's not easy to do From FBO 17. Chad Henne MIA 21/29 220 0 1 23 26 -3 Quote Most of Henne's success came during a stretch of 17 consecutive completions, but he took two sacks and threw a pick against a pass defense that can't rush the passer or play any sort of tight coverage. Seventeen consecutive completions sounds good, but when only nine of those passes yield first downs, you don't score a touchdown, and you're playing the league's second-worst pass defense, it's just stealing low-hanging lunch money. Henne might have had a better day if top wide receiver Davone Bess hadn't suffered an ankle injury. This is exactly why I don't like people copy/pasting other people's words. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: fyo on December 14, 2009, 08:19:06 pm im not the one who said it. If you can't back the words, don't use them. Anything else is completely dishonest. You're also not attributing the second quote, which is a big no-no. Whoever wrote the words you stole obviously decided to cherry-pick some stats (I can see why you chose that kindred spirit). "Took two sacks ... against a pass defense that can't rush the passer". Anyone who watched the game would know that those sacks weren't "taken" by Henne. Individual mistakes on the O-line was to blame for at least one of them. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Tepop84 on December 14, 2009, 08:23:44 pm lol. U homers keep arguing against fbo people. Lol.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Tenshot13 on December 14, 2009, 09:53:57 pm lol. U homers keep arguing against fbo people. Lol. I think everyone knows I'm one of the biggest homers on this board. So whats the polar opposite of that? I guess we should just coin a new word. We should call it a Tepop. How do you even call yourself a Dolphins fan? You don't ever have anything positive to say about the team, unless it's about Ricky. Do you even like football, or is it just something else for you to bitch about? I may have rose-colored glasses on most of the time, but it's better than having shit-colored glasses on all of the time. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: USO-ORLANDO on December 14, 2009, 10:04:22 pm I'm just glad we won!!

Ya roses really smell like boo boo boo. ~Outkast. ;D Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: NADS on December 15, 2009, 02:01:11 am O-line, even if the Jags DL is weak. Henne had all day to set up and the backs did well.
Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: Doc-phin on December 15, 2009, 11:14:25 am Let me rephrase that. For Gibril Wilson, he had a good game. He broke up a lot of key passes. He did mess up on that pass to Holt and the PI penalty, but other than that, was pretty solid. Point was, the Defense was good as a whole. Don't feel too bad about this. It could easily be argued that Sean Smith was as much (if not more) at fault for that deep play and blown coverage. I could also argue that while Wilson's jersey was touching the Jags receiver's jersey, that there really was no physical impeedment toward making the catch. It wasn't a bad call, but I am not so sure it really was pass interference. Game Ball has to go to Paul Pasqualoni. Defense saved the hell out of us this week and everybody was in good position even with a mobile QB. Title: Re: Game Balls - at Jacksonville Post by: YoFuggedaboutit on December 15, 2009, 12:41:38 pm Another reason to give it to Pasqualoni. Up until the Pats game, the Dolphins had been dead last in points allowed in the 4th quarter.
Past two games, the Dolphins defense has allowed zero points in the 4th quarter. |
