Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 01:19:52 pm they had 3 guys covering johnson on that last play and let the RB pick up 16yds on a RB screen???? come on!!!!!!!!!

Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: dolfan13 on December 27, 2009, 01:23:17 pm davis is playing like 30 yards off of johnson. it looks like he is playing level with the safties...
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 01:25:39 pm davis is playing like 30 yards off of johnson. it looks like he is playing level with the safties... I saw that on the one play. for as much talk I hear about Vontae this and that, he doesn't impress me. he may become a great player in the future, but he seems to get smoked and takes the risks on the ball, rather than making sure he wraps the WR. there's a reason opposing teams go after him, it's because he's HORRIBLE in coverage!! you don't see anyone attacking Sean Smith???? Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 01:28:46 pm One of the worst fockin KRs EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he dies down running before they even get to him!!!! why can "joe lunch bucket" sitting at home on his 42" HDTV see this, yet the MIA braintrust can't?!? OMG, he is just pitiful. seriously, I could get a kid in Div I football to run harder and with more purpose. he must be gone during the off-season. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: dolfan13 on December 27, 2009, 01:39:32 pm for a team that was technically still alive in the playoff hunt, to come out and play this bad is inexcusable...
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 01:40:17 pm Yeah!!!!!! DEF is looking great! very prepared this week. Sparano and his "crew" should be real proud.
Looks like we're picking around the 14-16 spot in the 2010 draft. hopefully we can get big WR or possibility a free SAFETY worth his salt. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Cathal on December 27, 2009, 01:42:23 pm Wow. I'm pretty sure this is a high school from Miami playing today.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: dolfan13 on December 27, 2009, 01:42:55 pm wow what a beatdown... good thing i wasn't in miami to go to this game. i am going to go enjoy the rest of my sunday anywhere else besides sitting in front of the tv to watch this embarrassment.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 01:45:02 pm WE fockin suck! seriously, how do you come out in a game we need to have and play like this?!?!?
I heard marino on WQAM this week and talked how whe was impressed how this team doesn't quit and they won't quit donw the stretch. well, he's eating his words or maybe the team heard his radio talk and believe what he said. oh, and just heard, longest socring drive for the Texans this year!!!! great, Phins are always good at padding the stats and history books of other teams I can't believe I come back for punishment every week for the past 39 yrs of my life. oh well, hopefully we can re-group and come back. anyone believe in a Christmas miracle????? Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 01:52:01 pm Ginn just ran 50 ys sideways for a 5 yd gain. wow

Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 02:17:13 pm :D LMAO....Yeah...I probably have a horrible track record when I start this thread....
Someone in the secondary needs to tel J.T. "I'll cover someone when you put some pressure on Schaub...." Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Dolphster on December 27, 2009, 02:42:04 pm With the complete lack of fire that they are showing today, it has me wondering if the heartbreaking loss last week after the big comeback broke them.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Cathal on December 27, 2009, 02:46:38 pm If Ginn is not gone before next year, I will be shocked.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 02:50:18 pm I really feel I need to repeat what I said in the prediction thread DON'T F'N RUN UP THE MIDDLE! RUN TO THE RIGHT! (That is, AWAY from Mario Williams).
And what's happened so far? Ricky's had ONE good run up the middle and a bunch of nothing. The one run to the left they tried got stopped for a 4 yard LOSS. TWICE they've run to the right, resulting in gains of 8 and 9 yards, respectively. I also pointed out that the Texans are the best team in the league at containing passes to running backs. Well, they did manage a 10-yard gain and a two of 3-4 yarders. It also resulted in an INTERCEPTION, some incompletes and a bunch of nothing. I applaud Sparano/Henning for trying to get Sperry involved, but in the second half we need to go to him BIG TIME. The Texans are even worse against tight ends than we are. This is one heck of a huge chink in their armor and we need to exploit it. That and RUN TO THE RIGHT. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 02:51:45 pm DAMNIT! COULD WE PLEASE NOT RUN TO THE LEFT?! The Texans are really, really good at stopping runs to the left. Use some misdirection, unbalanced line... something... and RUN TO THE RIGHT!
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Cathal on December 27, 2009, 02:59:29 pm Now can the defense get the ball back quickly so the offense can rally?
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:00:28 pm Okay... that was an odd drive.
Pat White handing off to Lex Hilliard... that sounds like a preseason game. Henne taking off for 10 yards... wow, he's amazingly slow... 10 yards has to be a record. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:01:27 pm Now can the defense get the ball back quickly so the offense can rally? Wouldn't it be nice if someone could cover Andre Johnson? ;) Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: StL FinFan on December 27, 2009, 03:03:16 pm pick holy crap

Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Cathal on December 27, 2009, 03:16:48 pm These refs need to stop blowing these plays dead so fast. Let them play and then make a call.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 03:17:17 pm Banshee - He hurt his shoulder...Submarining for extra yardage....
Dropped INt for Gibril Wilson, then Vontae creates a possible fumble...someone lit afire under our defense at half.... Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:17:35 pm The Dolphins offense is just running all the wrong plays. Bess is a good player, but he's not a good matchup in this game. Neither is Ricky / Hilliard. Comebacks and outs to Camarillo, tight ends over the middle and Hartline/Ginn on the deep stuff. Sure, go ahead and have Bess run crossing routes, quick slants and whatever, but don't target him. We really need a pass catching tight end in games like this.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:20:40 pm These short dump offs are DANGEROUS against the Texans. Their linebackers and strong safety cheat up and play very aggressively. Note to Henning: MISDIRECTION.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:23:58 pm This offense is really bad -- and it's not just the loss of Ronnie that hurts. The O line isn't too bad, but the tight ends and receivers are... catastrophic. Henne isn't great (yet), but he's getting very little to work with. The play calling isn't exactly great either and considering that Henning is 110 years old or something, I don't see him improving next season.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 03:24:32 pm Ginn actually caught it...and it comes back for Tripping...FUCK
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:26:14 pm 2010 Wish List:

Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Denver_Bronco on December 27, 2009, 03:26:49 pm If you really need a good laugh you should flip to the Giants game. You can hear a pin drop at the Medowlands..... ;D
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:27:18 pm I think we need to go for it here. We're down by 17 in the 4th.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 03:27:44 pm The one Pass, that Gannon was ranting about...The Pass was going to Ginn (not Hartline,Camarillo they were doubled), Ryans stuck his hand up...Ginn was actaully open, but would have dropped it...(the slant route)
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Cathal on December 27, 2009, 03:28:50 pm And we didn't go for it, because...?
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:29:18 pm And we didn't go for it, because...? Because Henning is ultra-conservative at his core. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 03:30:35 pm Tripping? Seriously? total BS on that call. losaka's momentum into the barrel roll would cause his legs to follow thru. bs call Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 03:33:37 pm nice shot of the cheerleader there. :)
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:34:43 pm This is going to be an interesting test of our run D. Totally unknown running back. We KNOW they're going to run almost every down. Not a good start... 6 yards, 6 yards, 3 yards.
Thank GOD for whomever calls the plays on the Houston sideline. Throwing the ball... yeah, not like we've been able to stop the run... and on a 3rd and 1, they throw it. THANK YOU! Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:35:19 pm Davone "Fair Catch" Bess just actually returned a punt.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 03:35:46 pm Thank GOD for whomever calls the plays on the Houston sideline. Throwing the ball... yeah, not like we've been able to stop the run... and on a 3rd and 1, they throw it. THANK YOU! they stole a play from the MIA playbook on that one ;) Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 03:36:22 pm Because Henning is ultra-conservative at his core. What do you expect,it took them well into the third Quarter to Double Andre Johnson.... :D Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 03:36:47 pm that's a shock, Ginn caught a call while he was covered!
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:39:53 pm that's a shock, Ginn caught a call while he was covered! It's actually been a while since he's dropped a pass. (He's made up for it by dropping a punt and a kick, though). Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 03:41:05 pm After seeing Hilliard's 2 TDs and some of the moves he had in the CAR game, doesn't anyone think he should have been spelling Ricky more than he has? is it because he's a ROOKIE? I mean football is all about opportunities, and I think he proved himself several weeks ago.
he should have been splliting more timewith Ricky in the last 4 weeks. IMO oops....just heard he was on the practice squad last yr. my bad :) Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:49:40 pm After seeing Hilliard's 2 TDs and some of the moves he had in the CAR game, doesn't anyone think he should have been spelling Ricky more than he has? is it because he's a ROOKIE? ... oops....just heard he was on the practice squad. my bad :) Well, as you found out, he's not a rookie. He was a sixth rounder in '08 and spent all season on the practice squad. And he did get a chance early in the game after the Carolina game, but didn't look to good. His best run was a 9-yard run on a 3rd and 10. He got another chance against New England the following week, but turned in a pretty poor performance. He got the ball 5 times in the past two weeks, but only managed to convert that into 10 yards. Those numbers don't exactly scream GIVE ME THE BALL. He seems to have pretty good hands, though... Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:50:56 pm I can't believe the Texans are passing this much. Sure, Moats isn't getting much, but Arian Foster's been unstoppable.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: Cathal on December 27, 2009, 03:51:28 pm Ok. This blows my mind. WTF. A punt?
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:52:57 pm Bess has 4 receptions, but Henne has thrown at him 10+ times. And it's not that Bess suddenly can't catch, it's just that he's freakin' covered.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:55:30 pm The Texans really are giving the Dolphins every chance to get back into it. Inside 5 minutes, you really need to make sure the clock keeps ticking.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: hordman on December 27, 2009, 03:55:32 pm WTF....why would Bess let it round an extra 10ysds?!?!?!?
my goodness........ Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:56:38 pm These sacks are killing us.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:57:35 pm 4 down territory. Good job by Ginn taking the yards and getting out of bounds, giving us a short 3rd.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:58:23 pm Looks like Ginn could get a 100 yards tonight. Who'd 'ave thunk it?
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 03:59:20 pm WHAT THE FUCK?!
WHY ARE WE CALLING A TIMEOUT WHEN THE CLOCK IS STOPPED??????!!!!!! --- I was going to say that I liked the way we were running that no huddle, but if the result is that you don't trust your quarterback or whatever to call a play on a 3rd and short in 4 down territory, I take it all back. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 04:03:38 pm Looks like Ginn could get a 100 yards tonight. Who'd 'ave thunk it? No Shit.... :) Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 04:06:29 pm Arian Foster again proving unstoppable. This time EVERYONE knows it's going to be a run, yet he still gets 6 yards. One more and the fat lady has done her thing.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: ethurst22 on December 27, 2009, 04:08:27 pm Can someone explain the rational of the onside kick to me? We might as well went for the TD instead of the FG. Someone please explain cause I don't see it.
Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 04:09:28 pm And there's the other one (6 yard run by Foster).

We might as well went for the TD instead of the FG. Someone please explain cause I don't see it. I thought they probably should've gone for it on 4th and 4, but the onside kick was a must, IMHO. Your D needs to stop them 3-and-out anyway. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 04:13:00 pm Pittsburgh beat Baltimore. The Patriots thrash Jacksonville. The Titans got killed by San Diego two nights ago.
And the Jets are going to lose to the Colts later. All for naught. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: zypr on December 27, 2009, 04:20:14 pm Sparano should be ashamed of himself. Parcels needs to roll some heads. Get rid of Porter, Crowder, and even though he had a couple of catches, Ginn. Ginn won't run hard or go across the middle to make a play. On kickoffs he STOPS RUNNING on EVERY kickoff. He is afraid to get hit. Send him to some other team while he has some value. I am absolutely sick by the way we have played and the decisions that have been made. All the missed tackles, dropped passes, and stupid-ass penalties make me crazy. And I pay $300+ a year for directv NFL Sunday ticket and Superfan. At least next week I can do something else instead of breaking stuff around my house.

Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: dolphins4life on December 27, 2009, 05:48:19 pm This was a rigged season against us, fellas.
The NFL didn't want us to make the playoffs, why, I don't know. Ginn is fine. He got robbed again today. Sparano was ATROCIOUS. He punted at least twice when he should have gone for it. Also, should have gone for two at least twice. Henne, you should have taken the penalty and saved our last timeout. Should be a much better team next year. I'm excited, unless the NFL decides to start rigging it against us again. Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: bsfins on December 27, 2009, 05:54:43 pm This was a rigged season against us, fellas. The NFL didn't want us to make the playoffs, why, I don't know. BULLSHIT....It wasn't the Ref's job to tackle the Texans Offense.... I think the team didn't have a clue what they were going to do till the Game started...It seemed like at halftime we figured it out...but too late.... Title: Re: Live Blog Texans@ Dolphins 2009 Post by: dolphins4life on December 27, 2009, 05:58:32 pm ^^^^
The refs took back a turnover and a TD from us. This has happened all season. It's rigged.
