Title: Colts pull their starters
Post by: fyo on December 27, 2009, 06:50:12 pm
Ahead by 5 in late in the third quarter, the Colts pull their starters.

Not sure what to think of it, although I hate that the Jets will get a win from it.

From the Colts point of view, though... I don't know, I think I would've tried for the perfect season.

Colts are 2 minutes away from losing.

i hope the colts go out in the 1st game they play in the playoffs..

you play to win the games .. you don't pull starters to rest them in week 16 .. are you nuts?

Well, they played (most of) them more than half the game.

I think they'll do the same next week.

Everyone will rest during the Wild Card Weekend and then they'll get to face anyone-but-the-Patriots in the Divisional Round.

Interesting bit of Dolphins-related playoff stuff: If the Eagles can finish off the Broncos tonight, the Steelers can get into the playoffs by beating the Dolphins next week. (Providing the Jets don't beat the Bengals).

The Eagles won on a last second FG.

Denver showed the heart of a champion.

I would go more with a team desperate to control their fading playoff hopes

Denver played one of the top 2 teams in the league this week.

1) San Diego
2) Philly

Beat SD once and played Philly tough on the road with a chance to win.

Anyone can win once they get in. Its that simple.

I agree.

The Steelers are going to be very dangerous... ;)

Don't tell me that. It's inevitable to me that they are going to get in. Them and their stupid rapist, toothless, motorcycle crashing, hang on to the ball too long QB, who I can't stand.

Feel free to blame the Colts if you don't get it. Odds are, it's the Jets that are gonna screw you out of a spot.

Woulda been nice if the Colts pulled their starters against the Dolphins.  Kinda sucks that we had to play the colts and the Jets didn't...

I still want to see Colts / Saints in the Super Bowl. The Colts are still the best team in football. 14-1 is a damn good football record (so is 14-2 if they lose next week).

I think Colts/Saints would be entertaining, but I don't think the Colts are the best team in football.

Well it's not the Chargers. I don't believe in Norv Turner, period. They cannot run the ball and they will fail in the playoffs.

The Colts are the best team. Clearly, the only person that can beat Peyton Manning is when the coach takes him and his toys out of the game.

I think, despite losing 2 in a row, the Saints can beat the Colts.

Hell, I think the Patriots can beat the Colts.

I'd say the Chargers and the Vikings could also beat the Colts, but it would be a closer game.
