LOL, that's a good one, B.  Hey, can you change the title of this thread to "Official 2009 offseason coaching carousel thread"?   That way we can talk about all the coaches being fired.

Speaking of which, the Redskins just announced that Zorn has officially been fired.   Who's next?

Lovie Smith has got to go. His defense is a complete and total train wreck. They haven't made the playoff 3 years after their lucky-ass run to the Super Bowl in 2006 with shit-for-shit Rex Grossman. Jay Cutler - the savior - threw 25 INTs and was flat-out pathetic (should have been benched). Matt Forte is a hack and their special teams are no longer good.

They should have killed Detroit but allowed that team to come back on them late with a ridiculously bad Dante Culpepper at the helm. Horrible.

Probably a good thing the Bengals didn't fire Marvin Lewis when you said (repeatedly) that he had to go.

I still think he's got to go. He's had several shitty seasons - don't let this one year where they make the playoffs because the Steelers took a break over-shadow his mediocrity. I think the Jets are going to smack them around next week. They really should 7-9 ish but got a few lucky wins vs. the Steelers and the Ravens this season.

The Bears are Cheap,I'd say the odds are against Firing Lovie,he's got another 2 years on his contract....they'll sacrifice the O- Coordinator..Ron Turner...the QB's Coach Pep Hamilton..Probably the O-line coach also...

Everyone gets a few lucky wins, Joe... and I really didn't expect you to actually see the error of your earlier call on Marvin Lewis. I figured you'd play the "oh, it was a fluke season" card all along.

Wow, just WOW.  The team was starting to play better under Perry Falwell...... oh well, kinda like the same thing with the Dolphins and Jim Bates in 2004.

Just saw that on ESPN.com that the Seahawks have fired Jim Mora.

So far the coaching carousel has been quiet.

This one is somewhat of a surprise to me.

I don't like Jim Mora - I think he's an idiot who didn't deserve this job after sucking in Atlanta. But it's still kinda surprising.

Mora out and Pete Carroll could be in. Carroll knows the NCAA is about to drop the bomb on the cheating Trojans so Carroll is trying to slip out the backdoor. Carroll's run at USC is over, he's losing top recruits out his backyard and he can't continue to reload at SC. Good time to get out!

Not surprising as most of the top programs have a lot of recruiting skeletons in their closet.

Change that could be to will be.  Pete Carroll just agreed in principle to become the Seahawks next coach.  He'll make somewhere in the neighborhood of $7 million per year.

As much as I dislike the Jets, I think it is hilarious that Sanchez busted Carroll for going pro- and said he should stay in  the college longer.

Add Dan Henning to that list and I'll be pleased.

Dean Pees is no longer DC for NEP.  He says he quit and wasn't fired.  My guess is it was mutual and he quit to avoid being fired.
