Title: RIP Captain Phil Harris
Post by: MaineDolFan on February 10, 2010, 09:35:43 am
One of my favorite shows is "The Deadliest Catch."  I was sad to hear that Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie passed away yesterday.  He suffered a massive stroke on 29 Jan 10 while unloading crab from his boat and died from complications of that stroke.

God Speed, Captain.

Never heard of the guy...never watched the show. Interesting that he died from the nickname given to me by my ex-girlfriend... "Massive 'Stroke." ( ;) )

R.I.P., Captain...and RIP to every human being I didn't know who died in the past week who didn't rate their own thread up here.

There...I think that covers it.

I remembered someone mentioning the captain's sons. Unfortunately it looks like one of them is running a bit wild and has gotten a DUI and a hit & run charge.

That kind of lifestyle......3 packs a day , alcohol, and beef sliders 3x a day as well as sleep deprivation will do it everytime. He was the best one on the show though. RIP.

There is a reason Jack Lalanne is in his 90's and still pulling Row boats with his teeth. Thats a different extreme I know.......hopefully most find a happy medium.
