Title: 2010 Free Agents (Dolphins) Post by: fyo on February 20, 2010, 01:29:27 pm All this assuming no agreement is reached on a new CBA within the 14 days. Agent in parentheses.
Jason Ferguson - NT (James E. Sexton) Nathan Jones - CB (Everette L. Scott) Chad Pennington - QB (Thomas J. Condon) Jason Taylor - OLB (Gary Wichard) (I accidentally wrote OLD instead of OLB next to Taylor... Freudian slip...) Seems like we get off pretty easy this year... unlike, say, the Cardinals, who have 14 players hitting Free Agency... in addition to losing their starting quarterback to retirement. source: http://nfllabor.com/ Title: Re: 2010 Free Agents (Dolphins) Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on February 20, 2010, 01:53:34 pm Thats your UFAs. Title: Re: 2010 Free Agents (Dolphins) Post by: bsfins on February 20, 2010, 03:41:33 pm ^^ I thought Bess was a RFA because he only signed a two year contract, and hadn't acrewed (sp?) enough time to be a "free agent" with the uncapped rules.
Title: Re: 2010 Free Agents (Dolphins) Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on February 20, 2010, 03:52:02 pm Even with out the uncapped rules...until you get three years you are an Exclusive-Rights Free Agents (ERFA)
An Exclusive-Rights Free Agent is an NFL player who is not under contract, but has only two years of NFL experience. If his former club makes him an offer at the three year veteran minimum salary, then that's it, he has to take it or leave the NFL. These guys have no right to negotiate with other teams. They are "free" only in the sense that they're free to quit. |
