Mariano has given up runs in 4 of his last 6 appearances, and that includes 3 blown saves and probably 2 losses if Boston holds on.
The Yankees have lost 5 in a row and 14 of their last 20. They still have a 95% chance of the Wild Card, but what is the point of even making the playoffs if you are going to play like this? He has been extremely valuable to Boston, but it's time to trade him for prospects to a team that overvalues closers. If K-Rod's contract is voided, there is a good trading partner. They have Theo's favorite kind of GM to trade with: stupid.
