Title: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on September 28, 2010, 10:57:04 am The reverse question of the undefeated teams.
Currently, the Niners, Lions, Panthers, Browns, and Bills are 0-3. Which of these teams will be the last to get a win? I'd have to say the Bills. I think Detroit wins in week 5 when they host St. Louis; I think San Fran will win week 6 at home against Oakland; Carolina wins against the Niners the following week (week 7); Cleveland wins week 11 at Jacksonville; and the Bills finally get a win week 14, when they host the Browns. BTW- I always look at how various sites/sports writers rank the teams, and found a very funny quote about the Bills ( who were ranked dead last at this particular site): Maybe the decision to start playing games in Canada was the first part of the process to apply for membership in the CFL. (from that site many of you hate). Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Sunstroke on September 28, 2010, 11:03:08 am The 49ers are going 13-3...so they won't be losing again this season. ;D Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Pappy13 on September 28, 2010, 11:06:27 am The Bills are gonna win this week. ;D
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: AZ Fins Fan 55 on September 28, 2010, 12:09:58 pm I would say the Bills as they are just terrible. Although I would not mind being wrong and them pulling out a victory this week would be great!!!!!
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Brian Fein on September 28, 2010, 02:54:24 pm Cleveland is horrible.
Buffalo is a better team with their new QB. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on September 28, 2010, 03:13:09 pm I would say the Bills. Why do you think the Lions can beat the Rams? Did you not notice the Rams beat the Redskins? And the Rams beating the Redskins has what exactly to do with the Lions- Rams game? Those same Rams couldn't beat Oakland, but that has nothing to do with the Lions-Rams game either. I see the Rams as a team the Lions can beat. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Brian Fein on September 28, 2010, 03:17:05 pm I think the Lions and Rams are both better teams than people give them credit for. I think they're both better teams than Oakland and Cleveland. I think they're both teams that could beat anyone given the right situation.
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Pappy13 on September 28, 2010, 04:11:49 pm ^^ I feel that way about the Bills. They hung with the Dolphins and the Patriots and had they started Fitzpatrick against the Dolphins, who knows? Got blown out by Green Bay, but again that was with Edwards who was horrible. They've had one of the toughest schedules coming out of the box playing 3 teams that are in the top half of the league in my opinion. They'll get a win soon.
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on October 03, 2010, 04:16:47 pm Browns pick up a win against the Bengals...
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: MikeO on October 03, 2010, 06:33:37 pm Buffalo might go winless.
Seriously Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: bsmooth on October 04, 2010, 04:57:07 am Rams beat Detroit. Bradford looks like he is just going to get better and better.
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: mecadonzilla on October 04, 2010, 12:40:51 pm Buffalo might go winless. Seriously I was thinking that myself. Fitzpatrick is definitely an upgrade over Edwards, but that's not saying a whole lot. If the Browns can win a game, then I guess anybody can...but I really believe the Bills are going to flirt with 0-16. Their defense wasn't just bad yesterday, it was downright atrocious. On one 3rd down and goal play from the one yard line, Mark Sanchez did a play action pass and had 3 different receivers who were wide open to choose from for the TD. I don't think I've ever seen that before. You'd think that even the law of averages would say that near the goal line, someone would be partially covered due to all the tight spacing. Apparently, this is not the case for the Bills defense. Wow. That was hideous. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: MikeO on October 04, 2010, 07:56:25 pm Buffalo has Lions and Browns at home. Those are there ONLY 2 shots to win a game. And I don't see them beating the Lions and they better catch the Browns on an "off day" for them!
Buffalo's schedule is killer. Look who they have left......Minny, Ravens, Jets, Pats, Dolphins, Chicago, Steelers, Cincy. I mean come on they got no shot in hell in ANY of those games!! Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: MikeO on October 04, 2010, 07:57:42 pm Cleveland is horrible. Buffalo is a better team with their new QB. Cleveland could easily be 3-1. They had a big lead vs Tampa week 1 then their head coach started throwing the ball around instead of running out the clock. Week 2 they had KC beat but their QB threw on of the worst INT's returned for a TD in league history. They could have easily won those 2 games. Throw in yesterday's win vs Cincy....they should be 3-1. Cleveland isn't awful. Not great, but not awful Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on October 05, 2010, 09:32:45 am I originally said San Ran wouldn't win until week 6. Well Christmas has come early for San Fran, in the form of an Eagles team without Michael Vick. If the Eagles have to rely on Kevin Kolb to win the game for them, San Fran should be able to beat them.

And I don't see them beating the Lions and they better catch the Browns on an "off day" for them! What about Jax this weekend? Yeah, Indy lost to them, but with a bit of luck, at home, Buffalo might just pull one out. I'm not completely convinced that Chicago won't self-destruct, giving the Bills another shot at winning a game. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: gocowboys31 on October 05, 2010, 01:07:33 pm Buffalo might go winless. Seriously that's no joke. They are worse than the 0-16 lions. That roster is atrociously bad. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: PhinsHelmetOnPenis on October 05, 2010, 05:13:29 pm that's no joke. They are worse than the 0-16 lions. That roster is atrociously bad. what roster are you looking at? Ryan Fitzpatrick is one of the better athletes in the league, he just needs to matureTitle: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on October 11, 2010, 09:28:49 am Lions beat the Rams (like I predicted).
Panthers, Bills, and Niners are still winless. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Sunstroke on October 11, 2010, 09:44:52 am I swear, I'm almost pulling for SF to go 2-14, just so we can get Ryan Mallett (character issues notwithstanding). I am so disgusted by Alex Smith at this point that I just want to hurl. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Sunstroke on October 11, 2010, 09:54:54 am I will say one thing about the 49ers impressed me last night, and it's really hard for me to pay this person a compliment...but damn, Ted Ginn looked pretty decent in the return game last night. First game back from the injury, and he looked like he was definitely running at 100%. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: mecadonzilla on October 11, 2010, 11:35:49 am There's a lot of bad O-line play that's not helping Alex either. How many times were defensive guys getting through almost untouched? A lot of bad decisions were made on Alex's part because he was under duress. There are too many first round picks on the line to excuse them for playing that bad.
From what I saw, Alex Smith just had a hard time digging out of the hole of Frank Gore's fumbles and bad O-line play. He really seemed to get it together after Singletary screamed in his face, though, so maybe that should happen before every game. LOL Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Sunstroke on October 11, 2010, 12:22:36 pm Unless Singletary's screaming has been known to increase the hand size of the person he's screaming at, I don't think that will totally solve Alex Smith's problems. Part of the problem is Singletary as well. I love the guy's fiery personality, but the dude who was begging for my change outside the liquor store this weekend could come up with a better game plan. I'm not ready to pin much on the O-line youth movement either...because I think they've actually been playing pretty well. I also think that every time I see Crabtree posing and celebrating after making a monumentally routine 4 yard reception, I want to kick my fucking TV. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Jed York said you are winning the division. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/11/jed-york-says-0-5-49ers-will-win-division/ My money is on sunstroke's prediction being closer to the truth. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Spider-Dan on October 11, 2010, 02:39:55 pm I wonder what Alex Smith's passer rating is when SF is down by more than two scores.
When the game is out of reach, he's a dynamo. As soon as they come back enough to be in range of winning, he turns from Tom Brady into Brady Quinn. I was watching the game with my uncle (a demoralized 49er fan) and he thought that Smith would throw a pick on SF's second-to-last drive (when it was 27-17). I said no; he'll drive down the field and get a TD first, then if SF gets the ball back, he'll throw a pick or fumble. It's nice to be proven right. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: BigDaddyFin on October 11, 2010, 07:21:16 pm Buffablow. they're headed for 1-15 at best
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: mecadonzilla on October 11, 2010, 10:57:10 pm Until Carolina can find any sort of QB, they're going to have a hard time squeaking out any victories.
Their defense can be stout at times, and their running game is strong, but unless Jimmy Clausen starts channeling Joe Montana, the Panthers may very well be fighting the Bills for that first pick in '11. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on October 18, 2010, 05:24:53 pm Another correct prediction by me: the Niners won against the Raiders yesterday.
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: bsmooth on October 18, 2010, 06:58:46 pm So hard to go against the Bills with Carolina.
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: mecadonzilla on October 18, 2010, 10:58:38 pm I'm actually rooting for two 0-16 teams this year. I just want to one of these teams go 0-fer and have the 2nd pick in the draft! LOL
Buffalo I'm looking in your direction. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: phinsinmiami on October 21, 2010, 02:24:47 pm i think Bills are going to win this week!

I just want to one of these teams go 0-fer and have the 2nd pick in the draft! LOL Buffalo I'm looking in your direction. It is possible Bills don't play Carolina this year. Theoretically it would be possible to have four 0-16 teams in the same season. Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on October 24, 2010, 10:08:45 pm Wow, I predicted another one correctly. Panthers beat the Niners today. So far I've gotten 3 of the 4 predictions I made correct (Cleveland was wrong; Lions, Niners, and Panthers correct), with one more still possible (Bills over Browns, week 14).
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Tenshot13 on October 24, 2010, 10:14:13 pm BUF has to win at least one game this year...they took BALT to the wire, and they are one of the best teams in the league IMO. They won't go winless.
Title: Re: Which winless team will be the last to get a win? Post by: Philly Fin Fan on November 14, 2010, 05:29:03 pm And the Bills pick up their first win in week 9...
