Title: Favre breaks another record Post by: Brian Fein on October 11, 2010, 11:01:08 pm With 12:44 left in the 3rd, Brett Favre just broke the record for most career fumbles.
I believe he now owns every record, and can retire in peace. Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Pats2006 on October 11, 2010, 11:13:13 pm Favre is a dick. I am glad he is playing like shit. I feel bad for Min fans and Peterson. Min fucked up not picking up a QB in the off season, knowing Favre was going to do what he does. Childress needs to get fired also. He's a tool.

He is closing in on Elway's record. I believe he now owns every record, and can retire in peace. What? I didn't see this amidst all the hoopla about his 500th TD ;) Before people start commenting on my remark (without picking up on the sarcasm), Brian and I were texting during the game about how ESPN just kind of glossed over this stat... Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Brian Fein on October 12, 2010, 10:41:49 am If you're gonna have a special graphic, balloons dropping from the sky, and skywriters over the stadium for the 500th TD, you should have equal hoopla for breaking an all-time NFL record.
Just sayin' Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: fyo on October 12, 2010, 10:57:48 am If you're gonna have a special graphic, balloons dropping from the sky, and skywriters over the stadium for the 500th TD, you should have equal hoopla for breaking an all-time NFL record. But I have been to an Irish wake that was more of a party than a few weddings I have been too. ****** Also this was an away game. If I was the guy working the teleprompter/video board at Giants stadium, I would have glossed over the 500 TD and been making a huge deal of Moon's record being broken. I thought he had that.Did Favre already get the sacks record? Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on October 12, 2010, 04:32:11 pm Wins? I thought he had that. I hope, against all possible odds, that Favre gets sacked exactly 4 more times this season and finally retires. Then, the best irony ever: Favre would hold the record of "most sacked QB" by 1... the one that he laid down for when Strahan set the record for most sacks in a season. Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Brian Fein on October 13, 2010, 10:20:55 am I wonder if he'll lay down for #517 too.

That was one of the most disgusting plays I've ever seen it my life. It made me so mad. Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on October 13, 2010, 05:01:25 pm i recall that Peyton had called Tom when broke the TD record to congradulate him, but rice snubbed moss and quite a bit was made of rice's snub.
I wonder if on the same token, if Moon called Favre after the game? Be cool if once Favre was one away if Elway and Strahan went to the next game so after the game they could come out onto the field and congradulate him in person. And there is talk he might not play vs NE. Looks like Dave Krieg's record is safe for now. Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Spider-Dan on October 29, 2010, 06:11:55 pm Which record does Krieg have?
Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on October 29, 2010, 06:32:16 pm Which record does Krieg have? Total yards lost to sacks. Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Brian Fein on October 29, 2010, 06:40:30 pm ^^ really? I thought it was total # of times sacked...
Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on October 29, 2010, 07:02:25 pm ^^ really? I thought it was total # of times sacked... Nope. Elway had the total number of sacks which, Brett just broke. Total yards.... 1. Dave Krieg 3,794 2. John Elway 3,785 3. Randall Cunningham 3,537 4. Brett Favre 3,445 Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Spider-Dan on October 29, 2010, 08:54:55 pm No way Favre touches that. He'd have to play for many more years.

Not "many" but won't break it this year. His "best" was 247 yards (last year). He is on pace for 259 this year. He should pass Cunningham this year. And could take this record next year. (assuming he is still playing and there is no lockout) Title: Re: Favre breaks another record Post by: Sunstroke on October 30, 2010, 10:02:13 am ...Elway had the total number of sacks which Brett just broke. Brett Favre 3,445 I'm too lazy this morning to look it up, but as someone who sat in the Kingdome and watched Dave Krieg a lot during his career, I'll bet he was way up on the "most career fumbles by QB" list as well... Krieg dropping back, getting sacked and coughing up the ball was a sickeningly regular occurrence. It's entirely possible he'll either get pulled late (assuming he plays) or he'll be knocked out of the game.
