Their record is 2-4. Since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, there have only been 8 teams ranked first in both categories at the same time, for a total of 18 weeks. No team has ever had a losing record while ranked first in both categories. Their record is 2-4. Funny thing is, in 1998, San Diego had one of the top five defenses in the league. They also had Ryan Leaf at QB. They finished 1-15.
