As much as I wanted them to go for it on 4th I don't believe they would have converted. But, a good stop on defense is welcomed. Maybe they'll score on an 80-90 yard field now. Or maybe dan Carpenter will get another special teams player of the week award. Hah.

Doesn't look like we will score on the next drive, we will actually have to drive more than 10 yards for points.

vs a defense like this you can ONLY have success by SPREADING the field.

From there you run against 5 or 6 man fronts. or give your QB's lots of options in the passing game

These 2 TE sets with 1 WR are worthless vs a defense like this.

Another 3rd and BIG yardage first down... They play good on 1st and 2nd but give up on 3rd down. I don't know why teams don't air it out more against our secondary. Seems like an easy way to win.

its only week 7, teams will catch on at some point. This is about the point in the season where teams ARE WHO THEY ARE.....and everyone will have the blue-print to beat us

Bell has been around for  7 years. Sapp for 6 years. Jason Allen for 4 years.

Aside from Vonate and Clemons this is a  Veteran secondary!! They just aren't any good

That play was terrible from the start, at best its a pass play for no gain or a 1 yard gain. And at worst is what we saw a fumble

Offense won't open up today. Sparano/Henning are HORRIBLE! Is Bess even on the field? We have taken one of our better weapons off the field with these 2 TE sets trying to smash mouth vs a team we can't smash mouth against

We need 4 WR sets, shotgun....and from there we can run vs 5 or 6 man fronts. And give Henne MULTIPLE options in the passing game. That is how you beat this defense.

Special teams continues to just have some bad coverage.

On a separate note, 1-5 Cleveland is putting 4-2 New Orleans away; and Buffalo is doing a number on the Ravens. If they can win, maybe we have a shot.

I'm surprised they didn't try to get into FG range and try a long kick. but, whatever, excellent pressure. Going in down by 1 is ok, I suppose.

Should be a good second half

I would like to see some more safety help covering Wallace in the 2nd half.  Without that long pass to Wallace, Miami might actually be winning this thing.

Also, can we please see Ricky running the ball in the 2nd half.  Ronnie is not getting the job done...again.  I know the Steelers run D is tough, but at least maybe Ricky can keep them honest.

how about we give up on the run and do what has got the offense moving......spread the field and throw the ball. You can't run on this team, spread them out, go a little no-huddle, wear their defense out in the heat, and don't let them make substitions

It doesn't matter because the refs were going to give the ball to Pittsburgh no matter what happend.  That is the sorries excuse for a call I have ever seen in any sport ever.  That's just sorry.  The NFL has become a laughing stock of sports officiating.  They can't even get a call right when they have it on tape.
