How are there 7 teams out there better than the 5-1 Steelers? How did 2 of you not even vote the Ravens into the top 10? How did one of you put the 2-5 Chargers in the top 10? The Titans the 2nd best team overall?
WOW. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Sunstroke on October 28, 2010, 01:45:03 pm How did 2 of you not even vote the Ravens into the top 10? I pulled up my PT this week, expecting to see that I had ranked Baltimore in the middle of the top-10 somewhere...it's where I've ranked them the past few weeks. Instead, I saw that I was one of those damned fools who didn't have Baltimore ranked. It was nothing against the Ravens, I just spaced that team out when doing my PT this week. Had I remembered, they would have come in at #6, and would have bumped Miami off the 10 slot at the bottom of my rankings. My bad... I did have the highest ranking for your Giants though...and the highest ranking for the Chiefs. Here's how I ranked them this week: 1) Pittsburgh Steelers 2) New England Patriots 3) New York Jets 4) Indianapolis Colts 5) New York Giants 6) Kansas City Chiefs 7) Tennessee Titans 8 ) Houston Texans 9) Atlanta Falcons 10) Miami Dolphins Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: jtex316 on October 28, 2010, 01:57:38 pm ^ I can live with that to some extent. It's splitting hairs with some of that bottom 5 (I think ATL is better than a #9 rank).
The worst one is that someone voted in San Diego - 2-5 San Diego - to the top 10. WOW. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Brian Fein on October 28, 2010, 02:16:33 pm I voted in San Diego. I refuse to justify my choice to you, who will undoubtedly lack understanding and reply with endless ridicule. I feel at peace with the pick though.

Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: jtex316 on October 28, 2010, 02:53:51 pm I voted in San Diego. I refuse to justify my choice to you, who will undoubtedly lack understanding and reply with endless ridicule. I feel at peace with the pick though. I can't say that I would argue with this reasoning. I would most definitely ridicule you endlessly for such a preposterous choice. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Dave Gray on October 28, 2010, 07:23:42 pm I have the same 10 teams on my list, just ordered a little differently. This is the first time this has happened to me this year. I think the list is good.
Also, I had Atlanta at 9. (Lower than the low vote says.) Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Sunstroke on October 28, 2010, 08:07:25 pm I had Atlanta at 9 as well... Previous weeks have contained some very interesting choices, to say the least.
It's taken half the season but I feel as though the true top ten teams in the NFL are finally taking shape. This week is a very strong list. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Brian Fein on October 29, 2010, 10:54:21 am ...even though I nominated San Diego?
Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Spider-Dan on October 29, 2010, 02:22:46 pm I am stunned that someone out there ranked NYJ as #8 but ranked NE in (at least) the top 4.
Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Dave Gray on October 29, 2010, 02:39:49 pm I think we should automate this Power Ranking process. Does anyone out there do programming that wants to give it a shot?
Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: MaineDolFan on October 31, 2010, 11:35:33 am Also, I had Atlanta at 9. (Lower than the low vote says.) It's a typo. Atlanta's lowest ranking is 10. I think we should automate this Power Ranking process. Does anyone out there do programming that wants to give it a shot? Good - consider this my last week, I've resigned my position in putting the list together. When someone else figures out a better system let me know how to cast my vote. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Dave Gray on October 31, 2010, 01:09:33 pm Good - consider this my last week, I've resigned my position in putting the list together. When someone else figures out a better system let me know how to cast my vote. That wasn't a criticism of your job at all, Maine. I just think that that we might find a way to be able to do it without having to make you work so hard. Even if we get a programming solution, it won't be ready until next year. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: bsfins on October 31, 2010, 02:23:51 pm If Maine wants out, I'm more than willing to help out if need be.....I'm not going to chase people down though....
Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: MaineDolFan on November 01, 2010, 01:22:25 pm Yeah, yeah, yeah...shit on the guy working for free. I see how it goes.
Actually didn't think of it that way, I thought maybe you had something in the works. I don't take things personally. People point out mistakes and I re-post. If you still need me to continue I will. Title: Re: TDMMC NFL PT, Halloween Edition Post by: Brian Fein on November 01, 2010, 03:43:09 pm Don't quit Maine, I wanna keep picking the Chargers so when they make the playoffs I can say "I told ya so"
