they did actually .. ronnie had huge holes to run in .. he's averaging something like 8 yards a carry .. henne hit all of his passes and marshall had a pretty big 3rd down conversion

nice mix of run and pass on that drive... henne had a beautiful completion to marshall on that 3rd and 7. absolutely perfect thrown ball.

Special teams sucking again? Baltimore running it back to almost their 40?  >:(

as much as i can't stand cam "ted ginn and family" cameron, the guy is a great offensive coordinator. play calling so far is taking advantage of dolphins over pursuit using screens, qb sneak, wr screens

they have no team speed on offense. No gamebreakers

Wow. How do you go from marching down the field to a sack and pass for loss of yards?

seems like its a lack of disguise or call it at the absolute wrong time too. ravens overload the left side on that third down and come with a blitz... that would have been the time to slip the wr, or back in behind the linebackers there.

part of it too is not letting your qb make some calls at the line. only one that could recognize that overload is the qb on a pre-read.

at least the jets let sanchize go to the line with a couple of plays and he can kill based on snap pre-read.

Are you kidding me? On the 1 yard line and you can't get a TD? I know the logical thing is to take the FG, but they needed a TD right there.

Why call for a pass play on 3rd and Goal from the 1? Why not a run and then a run? You gotta play with some balls when you are the underdog on the road AND down in the game.

Wrong. Great throw on the comeback, but Hartline fell down. Can't put that one on the quarterback.

As for the throw to Fasano, that looked really weird. This wasn't a touch pass he drilled or anything. It was nearly 5 yards to the left of Fasano. Henne threw it almost straight down the middle while Fasano drifted right. Henne may have gotten spooked by the MLB, who dropped back (and would have had a great chance to at least tip the ball, had Henne thrown to where Fasano went), or they simply weren't on the same page (never a good thing).

Sad that we had yet another dropped INT on the drive where they got their touchdown.

Oh, and just to finish the off the first half impressions, I really think we got lucky on the no-safety call. From the replays, it clearly looked like the ball was out of the endzone. Not sure what "momentum" rules apply in that case (so it may not have been a safety anyway), but the refs said the ball never left the endzone.

I wanted to bitch about Vontae getting faked out a couple of times, but then half a dozen other defenders decided to get in on the action. Even Dansby, who's been a monster this year, cleaning up once the ball carrier gets by the D-line (so, basically every time).

the cornerback jumped the route, he saw it coming from a mile away.

hene has made some good throws, and has had some pretty good reads. that one, he locked into the receiver, and the corner jumped it. hartline falling down didn't really matter because the corner had already cut that route underneath

Baltimore tried to give us this game, but we didn't take it. Doesn't look good.

With no tiebreakers over Balt, Pitt, Jets, and Pats.........its safe to say that at about 4pm on November 7th the Miami Dolphins 2010 season is OVER!!!

No, his head was upfield and didn't turn until after Hartline turned. As with all comebacks, it's designed for the receiver to shield the ball with his body. That's hard to do if you're on your KNEES like Hartline was.

at best if hartline doesn't fall, he makes the tackle on the corner that undercut the route.

Horrible start to the second half:

- Vontae looked like shit on the TD pass. He really is getting owned by Mason.
- The Ravens must've seen something they liked and kept throwing the ball to Ray Rice. Dolphins need to shadow him. Just can't let him run a route out of the backfield with NO coverage.

Watch it again. I just did. You are wrong. Even though Hartline is ON HIS KNEES, the defender barely gets by him.

What a GREAT play by Ronnie (pretty sure it was him). Carey misses his block and Ronnie comes back and gets the DE pushed by Henne, who was about to get leveled. Turned out to be a pretty good gain by Fasano, but that swing pass by Henne was bad. Almost intercepted. Henne never saw the defender.

And then Ronnie drops a pass.

Sigh.

Can someone explain to me why we abandoned the run when it was working?

Because we have one of the 5 worst coaching staffs in the NFL.

I haven't had much of a problem with our coaching staff today. They put players in a position to make the play and they just failed to execute. TWO more dropped INTs, one a likely pick-6. And the Henne-Fasano miss. And the drops. Again.

the talent on this team is what is lacking... maybe a better o coordinator makes a little bit of a difference, but this team has no speed on offense. no down the field playmakers...

they have to string together 12, 14, 16 play drives with no room for a mistake because they effectively play in a phone booth.

this team right now is built as a version 2.0 of wannstache football.

Why did we lose this game?  Here's a stat that may explain it:

Ronnie Brown - 1st drive:  6 carries for 45 yards.

Rest of the way:  3 carriesfor 14 yards.

WHY didn't we give him 20 carries?
