Title: Do you still recommend a former place of employment?
Post by: bsfins on December 01, 2010, 10:41:23 am
After you've left someplace, maybe knowing more about the product or service,if someone asks you about that Product or service...

Do you still recommend it? Do you give an honest opinion of the product/service?

Yes.

I used to work at Motorola.  I think the Droid X is a great product and recommend it to lots of people.  I still have a crapload of Motorola stock and would love for it to make a bit of a come back.

Sure... I used to make the cabin windows for the Boeing 737 and 747 lines, and I not only still recommend that people fly, but that they also take a minute to enjoy a nice view of the clouds while traveling. ;)

If Motorola could make the Droid 2 with Droid X features, they would have a winner.  I need a tactile keyboard.

Not recently. Wolf/Ritz Camera transferred me to Chattanooga, and laid me off 2 months later. You want camera stuff, go to Bext Buy or B&Hphotovideo.com  Better prices than Ritz as well. Best thing to do is go to Ritz or Wolf to get an idea what you want if you don't already know then go to Best Buy or B&H for your purchase. If you need prints or enlargements, go to adorama.com Better prices there too.

Ritz/Wolf can screw themselves.

No, I generally don't.  I'm fairly loyal, so if I leave an employer, I have very good reason.  The only exception applies to having worked with family in the past.

I admit, I guess it depends on what they ask...The old P.I. agency I used to work for,I'd probably direct them to cheaper alternatives.Way back  in the day when I used to work as a cook in restaurants, most of them have changed, only one would I talk critically about (same dumb ass owner). Whirlpool,is the one where I find is very product dependent, and the latest models probably are different than the ones I used to deliver. Alot of my thoughts and feeling have to do with what the customers told me about, then things I ran across....

I worked for local web company and although things often got crazy there, I think that they have a lot of good, smart people on staff, so I recommend them.
