Nothing is blurred. If it was an HDR, the frames wouldn't match up because of movement. If it was a long exposure, there would be a lack of detail because whatever was moving would be blurry. Look at the tree on the left of this picture of mine. Its blurry because of the wind, and that is only a 1/2 second exposure.

Some cameras do have that setting. I've been out of the camera loop for a while since my camera gear got stolen. (come on tax return!) so they could be HDR. But the clouds have sharp edges on them which is why I don't think they are long exposures. That pic of mine is the only shot of lightning that I've been able to get. Damn, I miss my cameras!
