A meaningless regular season game.  Haven't had one of those around here since 2007.

Don't like the firing of Sparano.  The problem was the coordinators

Dolphins go for it on 4th and 1 at Detroit's 38 and make it.

It is only after you've lost everything, are you free to do anything. Translation: Season's over, go nuts.

team has mediocre talent with a crappy qb... no coach savior coming down on his white horse is going to turn this current team into a serious contender.

wanna change something to translate into real results? find a new gm that can better evaluate talent.

Also the Sparano fist pump after picking up the yard......REALLY?? REALLY!?!?!

THe season is over and we picked up 1 yard vs the Lions in the FIRST QUARTER and you do a jumping fist pump?!! You must be kidding me!

The other thing about firing Sparano is, if you are going to it, you should not let him coach the final two games.  Get an interim coach and see what he can do.

thanks jimmy, talk of how we're shutting down calvin, now he's taking us to the house.

I never like when commentators/analyst say sh*t like that, it's a kiss of death

Sparano must have given them a great motivation speech at half-time.  Dead man walking.

but odds are you aren't keeping the interim coach or giving him the job, so that doesn't matter

Great defensive game in CHI. I think rex and those foot-fetish videos may be distracting his team (oh, his wife does have nice feet though)

can we please draft or acquire a DEF back that has some hands to intercept the ball?!?!?  sean smith would be an ALL-PRO if he could have held onto the ball this year.

now Joe Rose is praising Dan Henning with staying with the Wild Cat.  joe give it a rest, those playcalling has cost us more this year than not.  Henning is also Dead Man Walking.

Sparano plays for another god damn field goal

I'd like us to go down the field now and put 3-7 pts on the board and make it difficult for DET to make a comeback.

now, that's a wish, reality will set in a minute.............(corssing-fingers it doesn't)

I have questioned the offensive play calling all year.  But in this one instance, I actually agree with the call on 3rd and goal from the 14.   Any pass would have to be in the end zone so the Lion defense would be filling the end zone and an interception there keeps it at a one score game in the 4th quarter.  If it was earlier in the game, I would have thrown it on 3rd down.  But in the 4th quarter and a short field goal makes it a 2-score game, I agree with the conservative run call on 3rd and then kick the field goal.   But the ultra conservative offensive play calling most of the year has completely mystified me.

Uggg, that field goal by the Lions is exactly why I said that it was the right move for the Dolphins to play for the field goal to make it a 2-score game on page 2.

Title: Re: ****Lions-Dolphins GAME THREAD***
Post by: dolfan13 on December 26, 2010, 03:57:01 pm
maybe folks will realize why the playcalling is sooo conservative with this offense. chad henne fucking blows

Un-freaking believable.  I love the Dolphins, but damn, this team can sure find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

That hopefully will get the remaining few Chad Henne supporters off the bandwagon.

listen to JimmyCefalo talking about the end of the season, he says "the upswing with the Jets game"

are you fockin kidding me!!!!  the Phins won in SPITE of themselves.  the Jets blow and the way the Phins play only prove it.

I've reached the point where I have to agree with the majority here.  I've been holding back and holding back on the "Fire Sparano, Henning and Henne" bandwagon.  But this complete collapse in the 4th quarter, combined with losses to the lowly Bills and the Browns has made me come around to the idea that they both have to go.  I hate to have to start rebuilding by starting next year with a new QB and a new Head Coach because that kind of rebuilding usually means several more years of horrible play.   But I can't give those guys the benefit of the doubt anymore.

But I can't give those guys the benefit of the doubt anymore.

you are correct, they have been given the time and the talent (addition of Marshall) and still can't get it done.

the play calling is HORRIBLE,  the enthusiasm is HORRENDOUS and there is NO MOTIVATION from the coach or staff.

u just can't win with a qb that is this putrid. cowher, gruden, no one is riding a white horse in here and winning with this shit as qb.

wow.... exclamation point on how shitty henne is.

throw it down to the running back underneath????? for the love of god get this guy out of the starting lineup.

Wow, 30 seconds to go with the ball on the Lions 28 and you don't throw the ball into the end zone.  Unbelievable.  Well, so much for my pre-season prediction on TDMMC that the Fins would go 8-8 this year.   Looks like it is going to be another 7-9 season.
