Title: UCONN wants Sparano (if fired) Post by: MikeO on January 02, 2011, 06:37:36 pm UCONN lost their head coach today. Randy Edsall went to Maryland. Didn't even fly home with his team after the Fiesta Bowl. Went straight to a private jet and flew to Maryland. (Gotta love college sports)
UCONN is looking for a new head coach. Sparano being a Conneticut guy is atop their wish list (if he is fired this week). WFAN is reporting this Title: Re: UCONN wants Sparano (if fired) Post by: Stinger24 on January 02, 2011, 06:46:04 pm Hey Tony just quit and head on up north where you are wanted thanks.

Title: Re: UCONN wants Sparano (if fired) Post by: Dave Gray on January 02, 2011, 10:55:51 pm I don't want to lose Sparano this year. I think that would be a mistake. If Tony goes, we're starting over....again. He needs to bring in a rookie QB, get a new offensive coordinator (McDaniels maybe?) and keep some semblance of stability.

Hate to break it to ya but we are starting over anyway. We have no QB. No RB. No TE. worth a damn!! And only 2 o-linemen that are any good. He has hired horrible assistant coaches. And our drafts have been terrible under Ireland/Sparano. Josh McDaniels didn't get along with Mike Nolan or Brandon Marshall in Denver. Now you think he can join them in Miami and everything will be fine?! No way! And who wants "stability" when we SUCK! Sparano is terrible. 1-7 at home. The final month of the year losing to Detriot, Buffalo, and Cleveland at home. Being blown out by the Pats back-ups. There isn't 1 logical reason to bring this head coach back. In 3 years we get worse every year under him. Sparano has failed. |
