It seemed like once or twice a week for a month or so we got,there was 3 to 4 magnitude earth quake centered around /near Beebe Arkansas.I can't buy the explanation of fireworks for the Kill (we had fireworks here,but no reports of a bunch of birds dying),I guess I can understand the storms...The fish kill is one species....the Drum Fish.... Am I missing something?...Couldn't environmental issues cause this? I emailed the local T.V. station,and asked them....What do you guy's think? Title: Re: Arkansas Fish/ Bird sudden deaths... Post by: fyo on January 03, 2011, 04:42:05 pm I saw an interview with an ornithologist who said this kind of thing happened "quite often". This one flock just happened to be fairly large and dropped right on top of a town. She said the fireworks theory was "unlikely" (the way she said it made it sound like she thought it was a complete nutso theory).

Lightning strike? nope, too many birds n doesn't explain the fish. Jet engines? See above bad water conditions ? might explain the fish but the birds aren't big enough to be eating freshwater drums. Bad storm? maybe but how come nobody else noticed the extreme storm? |
