Title: Which QB to take

http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2011/01/which-quarterback-best-fits-miami-dolphins.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+sports%2FMiamiDolphinsweblog+%28Miami+Dolphins+%7C+Sun-Sentinel+Blogs%29

You know what I find funny?  I find it funny that a lot of supposed sports analysts are saying that the Dolphins must find a QB and go HARD after him in the draft, but NONE of them will say which QB that should be.  In the famous words of church lady "Well isn't that convenient!".

See, they all think that Miami should choose a QB in the first round, they just don't want to state which one it should be.  Why?  Because if they go public with their choice they risk being laughed at with the Dolphins if they choose the wrong one.  And even worse it would preclude them from being able to rip the Dolphins for picking the wrong one if they did or from stating they backed the pick from the beginning should they pick the right one and it's not the one the analyst picked.

So, I got a little challenge for all you supposed sports analysts.  Pick a guy.  Name one.  Tell us all which one YOU think is the right choice, don't give us this BS that you think Miami HAS to pick one, but that you don't know which one they should pick.  That's a cop out and you know it.  If you truely believe the Dolphins need to go all in come draft day, then YOU go all in.  Let's see your chips, because when YOUR stack comes up empty, I want to be there to make fun of you for choosing poorly.  If you're not willing to do that, then just kindly shut the heck up because your stance is pretty damn weak.

Ryan Mallett... I want him either in a 49ers or Dolphins jersey next season. I know he has attitude problems, but I'll take 6'6" with a cannon arm and then figure a way to teach him how to play nice with others.

They'll need to teach him how to move around with our offensive line.

The Niners O-line is just fine...so we'll go ahead and take him. ;)

I don't watch college ball, but from what I hear others say (and being semi local) I'd like Gabbert,or Mallet.(I guess both are predicted to be gone by the time the Dolphins pick) I see Mark Ingram mocked to the Dolphins the mos,of the very few mocks I've taken a gander at...

I'd prefer a big guy with an arm, but I'm curious if the staff, wants a weaker armed accuracy Pennington type...

I also think some of the writers, are hedging their bets till after the senior bowl, and the combine to make up their mind, and see who's rising, who's falling

As long as we have some coaches in place who can develop him, I don't think it matters all that much. There are franchises that CONSISTENTLY "miss" on quarterbacks and I'm increasingly of the opinion that they're not picking the wrong quarterbacks, they're messing them up once they get them. The jump from college to NFL is big and to pretend these quarterbacks don't need coaching to succeed is insane.

^^ WORD ..+1 I agree...

And would probably add,I think getting a QB that fits with what you want to do as an offense...Having a huge cannon arm, isn't going to do you any good if you play not to lose...Run the ball, and play good defense

I've been hearing a lot of comparisons of Mallett to JaCarcass, particularly from the mental aspect.

The fact that Mallett was a hardcore choker this year doesn't inspire confidence.

Jake Locker didn't have a lot to work with at Washington. He can play and has the skills.

His slide in this draft if it happens like many are saying it will reminds me a bit of Marino sliding  (for different reasons of course). I think Locker is a legit NFL QB
