Seems a little high for the rb, not bad though

some people had this kid as the #1 RB in the draft.

I like him more than Ingram. We needed a RB and a playmaker. HOpefully this kid works out.

Daniel Thomas....his father is a preacher in Florida. I bet he is pleased to be going to Miami!

I don't mind the pick, because we didn't give up any picks in next years draft to move up....

It makes me think Ronnie Brown...6' 230lbs...

This kid has better speed than Ronnie.

Thomas ran a 4.6/40..which isn't great, but speed isn't his game, he's a very physical RB.  Free angency would prvoide his compliment (a la DeAngelo Williams, or Reggie Bush, hell maybe later in the draft they could get a speedster) I wanted Taiwan Jones in the 3rd round..4.27/40 and draws countless comparisons to Chris Johnson (except stronger)..that was the sexy pick for me, but I can't complain with this because the RB need was addressed and I love the direction this draft is going so far.

How is he at catching the ball out of the backfield though?

He does have an issue with holding onto the ball though. 11 fumbles this season

Few reports I saw said he is a very underrated receiving RB. All in all, I am quite happy with our 2 picks. In all honesty, if Oderick is healthy it's almost as if we had 3 picks in this draft.

Now, if only we had a QB.

Don't forget about LB AJ Edds who missed all of last year too. He was known for his speed and special team ability. He will be a LB who can help us in the nickle a lot. Hopefully the 1 year off didn't put some rust on his game though.

I don't like this at all.  It seems Jeff Ireland is talking out of his ass when he mentions getting speed and downfield ability at the skill positions, then he butchers his draft to move up to take another Ronnie Brown.  I would've rather given Lex Hilliard a shot than draft this slug.

To add insult to injury, the Pats took Ryan Mallett.

Mallett will be out of the league in 3 years.  He is more interested in partying than working.  In college, he was able to get away with it because raw talent is enough to get you by.  In the NFL, you actually have to work at your game and use your brain (especially at QB).  He is also a malcontent in the locker room.  Ya know how you can walk into a club or bar and immediately spot "the douche" in the crowd.  That would be Mallett.

this guy is a ronnie brown clone. i hope he is as good as ronnie...

basically they could've just signed ronnie, knowing exactly what you are going to get out of him, and not waste all those draft picks.

if he ends up being a younger ronnie brown, its a good pick for this team. understand that this team is about as vanilla, bland, old school football as you can get. it's a running the football, time possession, 2 yard passes, pumping fists kicking field goals, style of offense.

this new offensive coordinator is just a younger henning, and now he has a younger ronnie brown to run the football 40 times a game like he did with peyton hillis.

Can we at least wait and see what these guys can do before we bash them?  Dolphin Nation has turned into one big bunch of malcontents.  Give them a chance to do something and then if they don't produce, bitch all you want and I will join you.

Thank you!  That needed to be said.

Name me an NFL player that is a clone of another NFL player.  Every player brings their own skill set to the field.  There might be similarities but no two players are the same.  Who knows, maybe this guy will be what Ronnie should have been.
