Title: No 2011 Season? Post by: james6253 on May 20, 2011, 10:58:48 am I'd hate to think there will be no football in 2011. This lack of free agency is seriously annoying already .
Is it only me, or does it seem like no one cares about the fans. The media seems to cover the players and the owners. It's always owners this, players that. What about the fans? If not for us, their business would not exist. We all know this but still we, the fans, have no voice in this situation. I'm sick and tired of this. Fans should voice their opinion and prove that it's our dollars that fuel this sport. Maybe someone will listen then. I think that, in large part, both sides do. However, this is ultimately a business and it has to make sense financially for both sides or the sport won't be able to exist.
I think that they might be taking the fans for granted, however, just assuming that they'll come back when the sport does. I don't know if that's the case. I am not looking forward to football like I did. This probably has something to do with it, but it's also because other sports (namely the NBA) are taking my attention. We have a whole thread discussing season ticket holders and their general dissatisfaction with how they have been treated. The common football fan has been forgotten by the NFL for a while now.
