Title: MLB trading Deadline Post by: raptorsfan29 on July 27, 2011, 10:32:50 pm For those that want to post their teams trades that were made before the deadline.
The jays traded with the White Sox, the jays get Edwin Jackson and Mark Teahen from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for Jason Frasor and Zach Stewart. The Blue jays traded with the cards and got Colby Rasmus, Brian Tallet, Trever Miller, P.J. Walters. and the Cards get Edwin Jackson, Marc Rzepczynski, Octavio Dotel, and Corey Patterson. Any thoughts on this trade from our cards fan on the board, or any White sox fans? "The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, for knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save ~ Gordon Gekko (mostly) Title: Re: MLB trading Deadline Post by: Sunstroke on July 28, 2011, 12:33:34 pm Take two chill pills, clean out your sarcasm filter...then go back and read it again. If you still come away with a feeling like you're being persecuted, take two more chill pills and get over it. Any thoughts on this trade from our cards fan on the board, or any White sox fans? I'm not seeing anything on the White Sox page or on ESPN on this. Is this official?Edit...wait I found it...buried on their website. Hmm.... Well I don't really know a whole lot about any of them and I hate to see Edwin Jackson go, but Peavy is about to get fully healthy I think and the White Sox have enough starters, guess they were looking for more work out of the pen. Title: Re: MLB trading Deadline Post by: StL FinFan on July 29, 2011, 07:39:13 pm Colby decided he was too good to listen to the coaches. He's a good player, though. We needed the pitching help. I believe we also get the choice of a significant amount of cash or 3 prospects.
