Man, you people are all negative.  And in a week where everything is wild and crazy...  How bout you guys all wait and see where the dust settles before jumping off the cliff?

I agree and disagree a lot with this..basically I feel like we've been "waiting and seeing" our entire lives....anything that can go wrong in Miami, can and probably will..it's not Pessimisim, it's being a seasoned fan

I'm happy with the moves the Dolphins have been making. Until Matt Moore. L.like someone stated earlier, wasted roster space.

I'm kind of excited to see how Bush pans out.

Matt Moore sucks - He Does Suck!!!!!
Reggie Bush sucks - I don't think he Sucks he is a talented player....just not a #1 but he does bring some excitement to the team.
Daniel Thomas sucks - I am excited to see what he brings to the table I have no idea if he sucks or not.
Channing Crowder, now that he got cut, was the best LB of all time.  Last year, he sucked too. - I am not a fan of cutting Crowder with no real upgrade in replacing him.
Chad Henne sucks - I think he has not been given a fair shake and we gave up on him to early. I think he can develop into a decent QB - I also think I am the minority in this thought.
Brandon Marshall sucks - I love Brandon Marshall - He is the best receiver we have had in a long, long, long time.

I'm not a Crowder fan,hopefully his loud ass doesn't end up in the division.....

I kind of see the QB situation as this...

Last year we had Pennington/Henne/Thigpen....This year Henne/Moore/(Hopefully Orton gets cut)/Devlin probably practice squad....

I really don't want Derrick Anderson,or Jaake Delohmme.....I guess Bulger would be an OK fall back to Orton...

I agree with AZ as well, but its not the sentiment on all the other threads.  Except for the Matt Moore thing.

Matt Moore is probably not ready for prime time, but he has NFL starting experience and will make an excellent backup QB.

I think too many people are thinking "We got Moore to be our starter because Orton fell thru" or "Moore means Orton is off the table" and I think people need to put the signing into perspective.  Its a good signing, for what it is.  He's not the starter, and if that means Henne gets another shot to prove himself, I'm OK with that.

None of these guys should have been brought back. Ross clearly didn't want them. They all should have been shown the door back in January

Sparano wants to retire after this year. This is going to be one long year!

Ireland is a terrible gm.  Sparano blows as a head coach. And Henne does suck.

I am hoping with a new offenive coordinator who hopefully is not quite as conservative and the fact he has had a year to gel with Marshall that Henne will show some improvement this season. Also with Bush and Thomas he might have a few new weapons to work with as well.

Did you see where the Browns offense was ranked last year? And we don't have Peyton Hillis!!!

Yes I saw where the Browns offense was last year and as hard as it is to believe I think Henne is a better QB than all 19 (yes I know it's an exageration) QB's that played for the Browns last year as well. I was not excited about the Daboll signing either but he may bring something different to the table and hopefully scraps the drive/momentum killing wildcat as a big part of our offense. Yes I know he ran it some last year too but he had Cribbs I don't see them running that with Bush.

I look at it this way:

If Henne can have a change between his 3rd and 4th season like Drew Brees did,

and

If Reggie Bush can see the type of improvement that Marshall Faulk did when going from IND to STL,

...then MIA will have a great season next year!

It helps to manage your expectations, right?

And now Ireland/Sparano to Henne (over Orton as of right now)

Henne chokes this year, they are both FIRED!  It's not difficult concept to grasp. Every coach hitches themselves to "their QB"...when they do they live and die by him.

Sparano's job has everything to do with his results this year (i.e. playoffs or gone) and very little to do with which QB he accomplishes it with.

If we get Orton and we don't make the playoffs, it's not like Sparano will keep his job.

The difference is, if we get Orton and don't make the playoffs, Ireland could be gone as well.  We try to give Henne one more shot and don't make it, Ireland can clean house, bring in a new coaching staff and a new QB next year.

Um, Ireland is the one that passed on a QB in the draft.

Unless there are results this year, the whole front office & coaching staff (probably including Nolan, which is disappointing) will be out on their asses and Cowher/Gruden will be in with their guys.

The only difference between Sparano and Ireland is that Sparano will DEFINITELY be out, while Ireland MIGHT have a job if the new coach doesn't want to bring in his own GM.

Nolan tried going to Dallas last offseason. Ross wouldn't let him out of his contract.

Nolan is as good as gone after this season.

thats one link, in the south florida newspapers during the time it was reported Nolan was asking for his release (since Ross was courting Harbaugh anyway).....Ross said no.

That article you linked really doesn't say anything about Nolan wanting out of Miami. It also doesn't say that Ross didn't allow him to leave. Not saying that it didn't happen that way, but if you're going to link an article as support for your contentions, it should probably be linked to an article that actually supports it. Here is the quoted segment of that piece...

"League sources say Bowles' Miami Dolphins counterpart, defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, is the No. 1 target, but he's unlikely to go to Dallas because he's under contract and it's a lateral move."

Is there anything you can find that actually comes from Mike Nolan talking about wanting to go to Dallas? Or anything that quotes Ross (or other front office exec) as saying that Miami wasn't going to let Nolan out of his contract to pursue another position?

I don't have time to search the web for a 7 month old story.  You can GOOGLE if it interests you that much, I am sure it will pop up. It's old news at this point. I did a quick 2 sec search last night and that was the first thing that popped up when someone didn't believe Nolan to Dallas was even true. It was out there in January, Im sure a google search will answer all your questions. I don't have time to do research for ya.

I must say I agree with the OP.  The Fins drafted a #1 OL with great potential in Pouncey, they moved up in to Rd #2 to draft Thomas, another player with potential.  They went after Bush and got him, which I never thought would happen.  They've held their ground on Orton and didn't give up a high pick for a guy that's not much of an upgrade.  They needed to pick up another QB so they got Moore as back-up, its not like they plan on starting him.  If the picks work out they have addressed several positions for years to come.  No team can ever address all positions that need improvement in a single year, I think the Fins have done a great job this off-season.  Some of you guys would complain if they won the Super Bowl by only 3 pts.
