Chad Henne not looking good in training camp is 100% inexcusable. It shows that he just doesn't have "it". You can do all of the studying and rallying of the troops and text-message your WRs to go over plays as you want to, but it doesn't amount to a hill of beans if you just plain old suck.

Get ready for one of the longest and most frustrating seasons in Dolphins history.

I don't understand your motivation for these threads...

Its the third freakin' practice.  Get off his case.  All of you.

I like this thread, now if everyone can keep the anti-Henne discussion here, instead of hijacking every other thread with Henne talk I would be very happy.

Thanks for the links jtex! Or so I thought until I read them. I was really looking forward to some commentary on Henne's performance in practice so far, but your sources...

This article contains absolutely zero info on training camp performance. It's an opinion piece on the lack of genuine competition at quarterback (i.e. that bringing in Matt Moore is not competition).

This article contains absolutely zero info on training camp performance. It's an article reporting that the Dolphins might bring in a developmental project as a 3rd quarterback (Terrelle Pryor), in addition to the ongoing speculation about every unsigned and trade-bait quarterback out there (Orton, Bulger, Delhomme etc).

This article actually does contain information on Henne's performance during training camp. There are exactly two pieces of information (other than generics): Henne was booed when he checked down. Henne had a pass intercepted that was caught and then bobbled by the receiver. Hardly supports your thesis.

This is the only article that actually contains anything critical of Henne. Unfortunately, it's rather vague. It does mention that there were "several poor throws" and a pass that was intercepted after being deflected (but doesn't provide observations on the deflection issue, which would've been nice). Deflected passes were an issue last year, so that's definitely not great news...

Still, hard to come to much of a conclusion based on 2 articles that don't contain ANYTHING about Henne's performance and one which seems to be describing solid quarterback play from him.

Here's a link for you, Joe Tex

read and learn.  Dave Hyde is smart.  Dolphins' fans, as a whole, are stupid.

Not a very good article for your support of Henne I don't think Brian. His first point is Henne can join a list of QBs who improved in season three. That does sound promising until you read point two, which is the Dolphins should go get Orton. That tells me that while Henne could achieve point one, the writer doesn't believe it.

I was more speaking of terms relative to the "booing" in practice.  Inexcusable, in my opinion.  He makes that point early on.

I think getting Orton is a good move for the team.  I would support it, if the price was right.  People think you can just give them whatever and they'll take it (one comment says Merlin + a 5th - as if the Broncos should jump at that).  However, getting Orton is not synonymous with "Chad Henne sucks."  It means you increase your overall QB talent - that's always good!  And maybe it pushes Henne to improve.  And if not, you have a replacement.

I agree completely. I'm not supporting the decision it appears we are moving forward with but those boos were bad taste and the chants for Orton were stupid (that boat has sailed).
