As the season goes on, it'll be interesting to see if the D has found a solution to its tight end problem. I wouldn't advocate using a single game as a litmus test, but we've struggled with it for a few years. Sure hope Nolan figured something out.

I like to think an O-line that's hitting our D-line in the mouth (like they have been all night) would only make them better in the end.  

Our offense looks decent but our defense is surprisingly terrible.  Granted, it's the mighty Pats but still.  Like you said, we're lucky to be only down a score.

Karma is also38 yrs old and in every 3rd or 4th play.  get the young guns in there.

I don't think I've seen a game over the last year or so, where a DEF has been so thoroughly dominated by the OFF and still only be down 7 pts.  Lot of things going Pats, if Soprano doesn't make adjustments in the 2nd half, Pats will eventually make the Phins pay and be up by 17-24 pts.

I'll take it. Some positives, some negatives and it was damn fun to watch. Defense looked a little better the last 2 drives. I'll take it for 1st half of game 1 against NE.

I agree, the point was though that Polite was cut for whatever reason.  the man made like 41/42 tries of 1 yd or less, or something along that line.

the DEF blows, and THAT is what caused us to lose the game.

What to make of this?  Henne looks terrific, the D looks like a high school bunch.

I'm actually encouraged by that game. Brady was perfect tonight and it didn't help that Smith and Vontae weren't on the field the whole 2nd half. Carroll was overmatched. But the offense did what they needed to do and moved the ball well. The defense will be better and if the offense can continue to play like that, it will be a fun year. Still don't see them much better than 8-8 or 9-7, but at least the games will be fun to watch again.
